Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Historia
This true modern masterpiece is built around the two fateful words that make up the title and herald the end - “Alas, Babylon.” When a nuclear holocaust ravages the United States, a thousand years of civilization are stripped away overnight, and tens of millions of people are killed instantly. But for one small town in Florida, miraculously spared, the struggle is just beginning, as men and women of all backgrounds join together to confront the darkness....

Amazing
Revisado: 05-25-18
This book was amazing. The narrator kept me entertained and the voices he used for different characters always kept me well aware of who was talking, even if the book didn't immediately clue you in. A wonderful narrative about life after a nuclear war between two of the world's super powers and the struggle of daily life there after as society begins to crumble and regress culturally by hundreds of years. I can't believe this wasn't required reading for me in my high school years. There's so much you can learn from this that is seldom considered in the ever popular apocalyptic novel genre.

Historia
Now that I've retired my Scoutmaster badge I'm able to write what I would have appreciated reading when I first took on the job 30 years ago. Since I started writing a blog at ScoutmasterCG.com 11 years ago, I've learned something of the power of storytelling. This narrative loosely follows my own experiences, but the new Scoutmaster in the story begins knowing things that took me many years to understand.

Good info on Scouting
Revisado: 01-22-17
Very good info on understanding the Scouting "methods " better. I'd highly recommend any Scoutmasters, Assistants, Committee Members, and even parents of Scouts reading to get a better understanding of Boy Led Scouting and how it helps them grow into better men, employees, citizens, leaders when it clicks. It won't happen their first year it's a process. I've been involved with Scouts since the 1980s when I was in Scouts and this is my second time through. I wish I knew some of this years ago.
