Now I know exactly what people mean when they say that a book is twisty. This book is the epitome of twisty. It’s so much fun. Kind of a slow boil that bubbles over the top a great number of times. I figured it out (not a brag, believe me) but not till 3/4 of the story was completed. I truly felt like I ‘knew’ the characters as the performers were bringing them to life. The narrators did a truly fabulous job. At various times I loved - and despised - each of the main characters. I think most everyone who reads this genre would enjoy it; it would be a great place to start if you’re new to the genre. I recommend this book to those who enjoy a kinda creepy whodunit.

The narrator Richard Armitage is among the best I’ve encountered. The slight modification in voice for the characters was first-rate. The story was good enough and it held my interest all the way through. (Whodunnit lovers rejoice!)

This was a real treat. The story is believable and not ridiculously over the top. The characters are well drawn. I was engaged the entire listen. The performance was top notch & I will be searching for another read by Emily Sutton-Smith.

The Dogs of Venice is a lovely, brief look at what it means to begin again. Neil Patrick Harris does an admirable job as narrator, imbuing Paul (the main character) with humanness and honesty. It’s a sweet story.
