Historia
For his victims, for their families and for the investigators tasked with finding him, the senselessness and brutality of the Golden State Killer's acts were matched only by the powerlessness they felt at failing to uncover his identity. Then, on April 24, 2018, authorities arrested 72-year-old Joseph James DeAngelo at his home in Citrus Heights, Calif., based on DNA evidence linked to the crimes. Amazingly, it seemed, evil finally had a name. Please note: This work contains descriptions of violent crime and sexual assault and may not be suitable for all listeners.

Best Audible Book I have ever listened to
Revisado: 12-30-18
I have listened to dozens of books over my years as an Audible.com enthusiast.
This is the best audible book that I have ever listened too. The story was fascinating,
the performance was terrific, and the way they presented kept you glued to your earphones
until the very end. Well done Audible. Do more of these audible originals in the future please!

Annoying
Revisado: 09-04-16
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Less redacted sections.
Any additional comments?
I found this very annoying as an audiobook. There are so many redacted sections that it becomes distracting and uneccessary. Especially since you can usually figure out what they were likely to say. However, this happens so many times that I finally just shut the book off. I would have loved to have listened to this without the censored distractions.

One of best post apocalypse stories I have read!
Revisado: 04-10-16
Would you listen to Point of Crisis again? Why?
Certainly. The story is believable and well written and very well performed.
I enjoyed the entire series and look forward to hearing more about Alex Fletcher and his family.
What does Davis Sound, LLC bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He seamlessly transitions between characters.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I love you, more!
Any additional comments?
One of the best written post apocalypse stories I have read to date (and I have read a lot of them). It was realistic. I enjoyed the characters. People get hurt.
The survivors are always thinking and working on their survival.

Historia
The area surrounding Cashiers, North Carolina, is home to people of all kinds, but the world that Jacob McNeely lives in is crueler than most. His father runs a methodically organized meth ring, with local authorities on the dime to turn a blind eye to his dealings. Having dropped out of high school and cut himself off from his peers, Jacob has been working for this father for years, all on the promise that his payday will come eventually.

One of the best Performances I have heard for Audible book
Revisado: 07-27-15
I loved the flow and imagery of this story. One of those books that are better heard than read. Masterful performance by MacLeod Andrews I will certainly be recommending this to my men's book club! I was hoping for the best but knew in my heart it was not to be. One of my favorite books so far this year and selected on a whim.

Historia
The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of 30 million souls, to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet.

Great tale of a global apocalypse and coping
Revisado: 01-15-13
Where does World War Z rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that every character was represented by another reader.I especially liked Alan Alda. Preivious books have been wonderful with one reader changing their accent or intonation like in Winter of the World by Ken Follett. This however takes it to the next level. My hope is more audible books take this approach in the future.
What other book might you compare World War Z to and why?
I have been reading "The Walking Dead" comics and watching the AMC Television series. All very good. This was a nice departure in that it was less about zombies and more about how various people responded to a global pandemic that resulted in catastrophic loss of life. Another book that is similar is Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank. The date and the type of attack is different but it has some similarities.
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
I loved Alan Alda in this production.
Any additional comments?
Great audible "read" and I may recommend this to my book club.

Ken Follett's World Without End was a global phenomenon, a work of grand historical sweep beloved by millions of readers and acclaimed by critics. Fall of Giants is his magnificent new historical epic. The first novel in The Century Trilogy, it follows the fates of five interrelated families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they move through the world-shaking dramas of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women's suffrage.
