This series was a fun escape. I like the narrator, no complaints there. Things were kept PG, which I appreciate while listening around my little ones.

Admittedly, this isn’t my wheelhouse. Very much for teenagers, written without much vulgarity, and no sex scenes. Story had some fun to it, self esteem lessons, and acceptance, again, great for teens. Narrators were awesome!
Alas, I am not a teen and found things predictable and sophomoric. Not terrible, but I’m glad Audible let me listen for free!

This was free to listen with my membership, which I am grateful for. I probably wouldn't have taken a chance on it with a credit, not being familiar with the author. Thoroughly enjoyed the story and the narrator. Plot was great and the ending was fulfilling.

Got hooked because of the time period, really enjoyed the story. Bonus, I can listen with kids around! No swearing or graphic sex, just a great story.

I enjoyed the premise and the thought that went into the storyline. I kept listening because I wanted to know how it would all wrap up. A couple of surprises popped up, which created interest.
The narrator was great at distinguishing voices, there was never confusion over which character was speaking. However, I struggled with the voices for M & G. Too squeaky and I found myself dreading when M spoke, particularly. The story seemed immature at times and this book contained sex scenes, which was a big change from the first book. During the first book, it was pretty clean until G came along, she was really the only one that swore. I could listen to the first book without headphones for the most part, but this book required headphones the entire time. Too many little ears around.....
I appreciate that it was included with membership and I didn't need to spend my credit. I

This is my favorite Jane Austin story and Juliet Stevenson did a superb job! She adds personality to individual thoughts and side conversations that made me feel like I missed so much when I read it myself. I’ll be listening again and again!

Another great story by Samantha Shannon and great narration once again by Alana Kerr. Alana's voice seems different this time around, but not monotone in my opinion(some reviews mentioned it), almost more hopeful and full. She brings Paige's confusion and self doubt forward while still expressing Paige's heart, tenacity and ferocity.
We are still seeing Paige try to understand the pull between herself and Warden. She struggles with being a leader and the decisions that she has to make, both with the Mime Order and Warden. My only gripe is that I have to wait another year for the next book. Ugghh.
There is swearing and some graphic violence, as an advisement to any concerned parents out there. One scene speaks of Paige's desire for Warden, but the romance stays mild.

I contacted Audible asking to have these books listed differently, because I would not want my 13 year old listening to this yet. A few very discriptive sex scenes. I feel the author is writing for the "New Adult" interest level.

I enjoy the books, this one more than the first. Court of Mist and Fury has Feyre struggling with her actions in the first book and trying to figure out why she fell in love so deeply, leaving her to question if it was really love.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed listening, Sarah Maas creates fantastical worlds to be immersed in. Audible needs to change the genre due to a sex scene that isn't appropriate for 11-13 year olds.

Really enjoyed this book, as I did Legend. Marie Lu has been a nice find. Too many young adult are mushy and over dramatic for my taste, but when I find something I can listen to with the kids in the room, I'm happy. When I find something I can listen to with kids in the room and that I'm really intrigued by, I'm ecstatic! Prodigy did have some mild language and a bit of kissing, but not taken to sappy levels. I would let my preteens read this series so far. The narrators were terrific! I love when the story says the character is out of breath and the narrator follows though, little details like that make the narrator disappear and let the story shine.
