I love Viola Davis and have so much respect for her work! After reading her book, I was BLOWN AWAY and have even more respect and appreciation for her survival and healing! This book allowed Viola to tell the story of other precious young black girls and have given them permission to tell their stories, and wings to fly!!! As a black woman, I am sharing this book with every black woman I know!! BRAVO VIOLA!!! One of the BEST actresses EVER!!!!!!!!

A MUST READ!! One of the most touching and amazing and "HOT" romances I've ever read!! I am SHOOK and still shaking from the awesome experience! While the story and characters were excellent, this new narrator for me (Emma Griffiths) made the audio version the BEST way to experience this book....THAT VOICE OHMIGOSH!! Melissa and Emma are a match made in heaven, please make more books together!!

The story of Elizabeth and Summer's celebrity whoa's and Fandom were so believable. Summer showed Elizabeth how to live authentically and that was great!

The Brutal Truth is my first Lee Winter book...OHMIG**!!! Thank you Carolyn Jaye from facebook!!! This story and characters are EXCELLENT!! I have some favorite narrators, but Angela Dawe....LAWD!! She is now in my top 2 narrators!!! I want to cry everytime I hear her soothing, sexy, romantic, and downright BEAUTIFUL voice! Noone says the name "Madeline" sexier!!! I just brought "Breaking Character" because I am now HOOKED on Lee & Angela! Angela's narration is what brought Lee's story to life to us listeners, however Lee's writing is Top Notch! Angela Dawe made magic with all those voices and made each character believable. Lee Winter and Angela Dawe are pure MAGIC together! More....More....More PLEASE!!!

Very Romantic and Fun!

I really enjoyed the story, which was made better by the great supporting cast of Characters. I could predict some parts, but I wanted that for this story because I fell hard for Frankie and Olivia! The narrator had a nice voice and made this experience come to life! Besides the romance, the love, support, and friendship between the women was definitely a selling point. I love the easy going straight forward dialogue in Jamey Moody's writing. I thrive off the happy endings because lesbian stories rarely get happy ending opportunities in cinema!! Jamey, thank you for showing us their attraction early on, it gave your readers a chance to ride out this entire story watching the relationship develop. Nice Work!
