Historia
As a botanist and professor of plant ecology, Robin Wall Kimmerer has spent a career learning how to ask questions of nature using the tools of science. As a Potawatomi woman, she learned from elders, family, and history that the Potawatomi, as well as a majority of other cultures indigenous to this land, consider plants and animals to be our oldest teachers.

A must!

I have now listened twice and cried over and over again out of the feeling of immense gratitude. Such a beautiful book. Robin's voice could never be replaced. Her love for all that she speaks of is overwhelming. This is in my top 3 favorite books of all time.

Historia
When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity. Cloning, feel-good drugs, anti-aging programs, and total social control through politics, programming, and media: has Aldous Huxley accurately predicted our future? With a storyteller's genius, he weaves these ethical controversies in a compelling narrative that dawns in the year 632 A.F. (After Ford, the deity). When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

Michael York should stick to the stage and leave narration to the pros.

Disappointing
Revisado: 12-29-22
I've had this book on my must read list for a long time. The ending was a disappointing thud. It's apparent where A Clockwork Orange inspiration came from. Less outwardly violent but also just less. I'm sure that this book was very thought provoking almost a hundred years ago but today it seems almost childish. The primary points that Huxley seemed to be trying at weren't gotten to until the very end and could have been gotten to without the rest of the book getting in the way.

Historia
From the moment she nearly drowned in a tank of cold water at the age of three, Ingrid Honkala was aware of other dimensions of life than those most of us normally experience. She was also gifted with the wise input of mysterious “Beings of Light” who gave her invaluable insights and assistance as she faced the challenges of growing up, falling in love, and finding her professional destiny as a research scientist and oceanographer.
