Historia
The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night. But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway - a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors.

Very enjoyable book
Revisado: 01-24-21
I enjoyed the pacing, suspense and delightful imagination of the story. The narrator's delivery was very enthusiastic and engrossing. This was a fun listen.

Historia
New York City, 1899. Tillie Pembroke’s sister lies dead, her body drained of blood and with two puncture wounds on her neck. Bram Stoker’s new novel, Dracula, has just been published, and Tillie’s imagination leaps to the impossible: the murderer is a vampire. But it can’t be - can it? A ravenous reader and researcher, Tillie has something of an addiction to truth, and she won’t rest until she unravels the mystery of her sister’s death.

Fine story, terrible narrator!
Revisado: 10-14-20
The narrator routinely mispronounces words which is incredibly jarring! The most common mispronunciation is "shone". She also couldn't get "ray" (the sea creature), "anatomy", "brooch" and other words correct. Someone who reads without the haughty affectations would serve these stories better. The story itself was pretty good. Better than The Impossible Girl certainly.

Marvelous story, dull narration
Revisado: 07-16-19
I have read the book multiple times and loved it! I wanted to share the story with my husband on a road trip so I got the audio version. We almost crashed more than once because the dull delivery put us to sleep. It was a disappointing first experience with an audio book.
