“You can never have too much nice” being seen as treating students unequally for missing giving a compliment is not an issue. This book really seems written by someone who has not actually taught. It feels like an arm chair psychologist . Let me tell you a ridiculous story of this or using hotel California (about visiting a brothal) to being negative in a school.

Everything must be positive and professional. If the students are respectful on the first day of every class if the atmosphere goes bad it is due to the teachers faults. These ridiculous drivel is spouted.

Every day you have to filter out negative energy.

Pc Ai written ridiculousness . Makes me think it is written by a principal. Just decide to be a great teacher. Almost no strategies.
So out of touch.

I was disappointed. Don’t waste your credit on this. It was short, full of cliches , massive section on supplements which at not really habits. Almost not citations of studies or personal experience teaching. I got the feeling that the author did a search on what google words would want kind of book and not actually a person with expertise. The first time I regretted an audible book. And I have listen to some pretty terrible cliched novels

I listened to this book like Al Gore’s an uncomfortable truth. He takes well evidenced trends and paints a dark picture of life after the order will look like. While disagree that democratic nato countries plus Japan and korea will not fight to preserve a type of order, the current effects of the Ukraine war as well as effects of Covid 19 china serve support many of his predictions. He does give some hopeful scenarios as well, but his focus on evidence based trends is persuasive by itself. Attention to demographic changes also helps put a lens that is missing from most great power competition analyses.
