FIrst DeMille I haven't liked
Revisado: 07-26-24
Confess I never finished the book so maybe it got better. But there was just so much time spent on a bad character and a bad situation that the book was painful. I know you have to spend some time building up the bad characters but way too much for my tastes on this one. I've read about 5 other DeMille books and enjoyed them all, but this one a miss for me.

Improbable but works
Revisado: 07-26-24
Description of the plot leaves a little to be desired, but Osman completely pulls it off. Great characters, sufficient humor, and the plot holds together enough to not being absurd. Narration is fabulous. Can't remember last time I enjoyed a book/audiobook as much.

Good, but.....
Revisado: 07-26-24
4th Cork O'conner book I've read, but will take a break in the series after this one. First half of book pretty slow. And while you can pull off the surprise character twist occasionally, to do it every time starts eroding the integrity of the characters and the book itself.

Not one of his best
Revisado: 12-15-23
I’ve read a handful of Dick Francis books and will continue to keep reading but this is the worst of his I’ve read. Main plot line was easy to figure out. Also, main character has a cringeworthy love interest in the wife of his disabled, mentor and friend. Voice good as always. No one bats 1000.

Un poco lento
Revisado: 12-09-23
A veces no me caen bien algunos de los libros de Reacher porque demasiado cosas pasan y es un poco loco. Cuando Reacher matan a 30 persons por ejemplo. Este libro es al revés. Casi nada pasa.

When a young woman comes forward saying she’s the reincarnation of Riya Kaur, a wife and mother who vanished during the bloody 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Puri is dismissive. He’s busy enough dealing with an irate matrimonial client whose daughter is complaining about her groom’s thunderous snoring. Puri’s indomitable Mummy-ji, however, is adamant the client is genuine. How else could she so accurately describe under hypnosis Riya Kaur’s life and final hours?

Vish Puri Back again
Revisado: 12-03-22
Love the Vish Puri series wish has the right mix of humor and seriousness as it delves into Indian society and culture. Vish himself is a fun character and while Mommy Ji is a little too stereotypical the characters generally flow through nicely.

Historia
Ten years ago, Craig Johnson wrote his first short story, the Hillerman Award-winning "Old Indian Trick". This was one of the earliest appearances of the sheriff who would go on to star in Johnson’s best-selling, award-winning novels and the A&E hit series Longmire. Each Christmas Eve thereafter, fans rejoiced when Johnson sent out a new short story featuring an episode in Walt’s life that doesn’t appear in the novels; over the years, many have asked why they can’t buy the stories in book form.

Short stories
Revisado: 10-02-22
This s my first book of the series and I don’t always love short stories. It worked however as Crag Johnson’s stories were a refreshing change of pace from the super macho- detective norm.

Fans of Pickett and CJ Boxx will enjoy.
Revisado: 03-21-22
Recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. Reminds me of the Joe Pickett series although this has more literary aspirations. First in the series but hope it continues to avoid the temptation of killing the development of a character for a cheap thrill ending.
