Odd Paced, But We Got There

Overall, I genuinely enjoyed the story.
The pacing of the story felt both too fast and slow to get going.
The story did get going though and ended up being very entertaining and worth the journey.

Stunning conclusion to an amazing series.
But I'll also never forgive Aprilynne for that thing at the end.

Emotional Whiplash

I remember clearly seeking out this series when the first was made into a movie. Recently I decided to listen to the audio books again because I couldn't remember much of them.
I remember now that, though I love them so much, the last book gave me a lot of feelings and I'm still very upset with Phillip Pullman about it.
In any case it is a fantastic conclusion to the series that I love so much.

Absolutely Brilliant

The story itself resonates in ones mind and enthralls the listener to continue listening. I found it near impossible to pause and go to bed at night because I wanted to keep listening.
On the other hand, for the longest time I could remember listening to this audiobook ​in middle school but not much of what happened in the story because of the full cast narration.
The effects of the full cast in moments of multiple speakers or call and response draws the listener in. Though I realize now they also utilize volume dynamics between whispers and shouts so it's best to listen to with headphones or when alone.
Not the greatest when you have to keep the volume low because you're at work and have to pause when a customer comes in.

Alan Cumming has just about the best narration ever. And Scott westerfeld is an amazing writer, putting both together makes the audiobook exceptionally enjoyable to listen to.

Loved It

Loved it as much as I did the trilogy.
A different narrative would have been nice though. I adore Cris Dukehart's voice. But a different voice for a new storyline would have worked.

Amazing

Really, I love the narrator's voice, and anything Rick Riordan writes. I've always loved Greek mythology, so I recognize the stories easily, and Rick made it even more fun to hear with his rendition of the finer details. And making it hilarious to listen to despite the...let's say weird things about the Ancient Greek Heroes.
Jesse, the narrator, is really just fantastic. I've loved his narrations since the third time I read the Lightening Thief but didn't want to actually take the time to read the book. I've considered buying books just because he's the narrator.
Totally worth the listen.
