I expected this book to give insight to the job of doing A&R but was more insightful about the inner dialogue of women in a male dominated workplace.

feels a bit like a money grab of what is really a puff piece. Though enjoyable, I expected more from Simon.

I have never read a bio of a rock band making me less impressed with the band. It's well worth reading even if you never even heard of the band, as a study of a socially dysfunctional yet highly effective team. I don't know what the moral of the story was, maybe that happiness can only be found within you, even when rock and roll dreams come true.

The storytelling and accurate detail of the many characters behind events that shaped Europe are truly masterful. It is difficult to not reflect on how fast ideologies and societies can change. This is a book that will be looked back on as an invaluable resource for future generations with its first hand accounts of a part of history that few expected would ever be revealed but is now more important than ever to not be forgotten as new systems of surveillance and censorship around the world are formed.

The political commentary wrapped in an action packed narrative cuts like a knife. This is a work of fiction that will be reassessed and recognized by coming generations for its rare balance of cynical and uninhibited social critique with its inspiring optimism for the future.

If you could sum up Poor-Sucker Syndrome in three words, what would they be?

Delightfully truthful, cringeworthy and undeniably funny

What was one of the most memorable moments of Poor-Sucker Syndrome?

When Leecha moves in with her sister Leechie's boyfriend for a free ride!

Which character – as performed by Robert Armin – was your favorite?

Ray is priceless! He represents every man who has fallen down the abyss!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It's hard to not hate the author and equally hard to argue against anything he says!

Any additional comments?

This book is probably too painful for most men to read and if they don't laugh at it, it's most likely that they have suffered from being taken advantage of. But if make it through this book it is likely that you will be immune to the most obvious tricks in the arsenal of a woman looking to play you!
