Slow burn science fiction romance for the win!

Loved it from start to finish, the audio enhanced the book and brought out parts of the story I didn’t appreciate before. Callie Dalton is perfection and Connor Crais brought this grumpy hero to life!
If you’re a Mariana Zapata fan you’ll love this, her signature slow burn style is on full display and I’m here for all of it!

I usually don’t like second chance romances! But this had it all— hilarious banter, first love, angst, the right amount of drama and humor and the magic that makes J Bengsston’s CAKE series so spectacular. Andi Ardnt and Zachary Webber are flawless. It could have been three times longer and I would have devoured the whole thing. Loved it!

Addictive first witch / bewitched / mates fantasy romance!

I was blown away by this book! I couldn’t stop listening as soon as I started, which was “befitting” of the title :) it was steamy, paced well, imaginative, mysterious and made you want to keep listening to find out what was happening next. Can’t wait for the 2nd!

Perfect slow burn fake relationship, perfect narration

I loved this book! It was wonderfully paced for a slow burn, loved the chemistry between the main characters and the way she wrote the daughter was spot on. The story was engaging from the beginning and full of humor and heart. And even though it was slow burn it was SPICY at the end and I felt like I needed a cigarette after the last chapter and epilogue.

Chris Brinkley is one of my favorite male narrators and was amazing (per usual). Samantha Brentmoor nailed it. The narrators added to the story making it a performance rather than a reading. Perfectly cast and performed.

This will be a re-read and listen for sure!! 100% recommend!

I love Penny Reid’s books but listening to them brought to life by Chris Brinkley and Joy Nash’s masterful delivery was like discovering this book for a second time! It’s sweet, sassy, genuine, hilarious, quirky, romantic, and will bring a tear to your eye at times and be freaking hot at the different times! It’s the whole unicorn package🦄

Great start to this time travel fantasy series!

Marking time is an exciting and action packed fantasy time travel novel - with a sort of “urban Victorian” feel that starts the series of novels about
Saira, a 17 year old “clocker” who discovers she can travel through time. April White spins incredibly realistic scenes that transport you to a different place and time whilst in the midst of a time travel fantasy novel plot. It’s freaking awesome.

While being about a 17 year old and dealing with coming of age themes, the language is never immature. It has romance without being raunchy. It has intrigue without being contrived. The world building is what you want in great fantasy novels where you can’t put the book down after halfway and read as fast as you can to find out how it ends. Thank goodness there are 4 books left, I don’t think I will want it to end!

The narration is great, age appropriate, accents are well done and her energy matches the tone and pacing of the novel. Bravo!

Fantastic debut for Laney Hatcher on the regency retelling!

I loved everything about this audiobook!
First, the creativity of this regency retelling of Neanderthal Seeks Human had me smiling and laughing from start to finish. Second, the modern way Ms. Hatcher writes women in regency England actually makes me like reading regency romance.
The narration enhances the story and is like icing on the cake. I love so much that they brought back Jennifer Grace! And Jennifer Grace with an English accent? Check. Jennifer Grace with a Scottish and Irish accent? Check and check. I can already tell this is going to be a favorite re-listen for me, looking forward to more audio titles from this author!

A beautiful and unique to fall in love!

You will fall in love with the story and the way it is told, Chris Brinkley narrates a diary of a man telling his story about how he falls in love with his girl. Their story enfolds in a unique and poignant way; reminding the listener of the lovely process of falling in love. Chris narrates it in his Southern charm style, with beautiful inflection and soul. I love that you can always hear the smile and emotion in his voice! It will make you want to start your own diary, sharing the stories of how you fell in love with your spouse or partner. It’s a beautiful story and listen, I highly recommend and am looking forward to more from him!

Great start to a fae fantasy series!

I was excited to listen to this far fantasy series! It tells the starts the story of Jinx - who is heir to the Wild Hunt ‘throne’- and it was a very enjoyable listen! The story kept a good pace with unexpected twists and turns. I am excited to hear more from this author! The narration was very well done. Overall a great start to a fantasy series and I would definitely listen to the next one should it come out on audio!
