Had To Pause The Book To Drop This Review

I’ve never felt such a pressing need to smash someone upside the head with a frying pan as I do in this moment!

I have completely fallen in love with Golden Angel’s books and this story is no less amazing than her others. I’m so intrigued by the storyline thus far (I’m currently at chp 7). But I have to believe she herself either did not or could not listen to this crap! This narrator is so bad and as I listen to him more I truly believe it to be intentional. Since this type of story clearly is nothing but a joke to him, he is trying his hardest to make us listening feel ashamed of ourselves for indulging in it. I’m not even talking about his accents (plural, since every sentence is spoken with a different abhorrent fake accent). And yes, I understand it is hard for male to narrate as female even when he is trying, but this jerk-off is intentionally trying to do the worst female impression ever. That isn’t an assumption, he makes it completely obvious in the way he also takes very masculine Commands of Benedict and turns them into the most sissified versions he can possibly deliver. Scenes that you know would normally make your panties melt he literally turns into sneers. I can picture him pausing his voice recording to laugh as he is narrating them.

I highly suggest that you go back to kindle and buy the book and read it yourself. You will get the giddy butterflies and wet panties if you can just hear the story in your own head. I promise!!

I have purchased about 10 of her books on audibles and it can sometimes be harder to get into them even when it’s a woman reading both parts. But even so, within a few chapters you get used to the narrator and get sucked into Golden Angel’s amazing story lines. This one is just making me want to rip my earbuds out and consider the credit I just spent on this book as lost money. I wasn’t sure if giving him 0 stars ⭐️ for narration would work so I gave him 1 but he deserves -$12.50 worth of stars so I can buy another book without him in it.

Best book on audible!

One of the few books that I have found worth the credit. The story and both narrators were just amazing. All I’m left with is WOW.

Ruined by a P.C. ending.

*SPOILER ALERT*

If you’re going to write a book titled ‘call me daddy’ then just let your freak flag fly high and proud. The story line and progression into the relationship (although totally unrealistic) was cute, kinky and fun. I love a good spanking and a guy secure enough to give it. I love that she submitted willingly with no fuss to all of his conditions. But then it’s like a new person came in to finish writing the book. The H turned into a screaming a-hole then decided at the end they weren’t going to have that type of relationship anymore at all. Almost like the author suddenly became embarrassed by her own book and switched genres. Whatever. Definitely not worth the credit. The narration was easy to listen to however which was nice.

What a great follow up

Intrigue, sex slavery and trafficking , bdsm, Stockholm syndrome, betrayal and finally an HEA for a girl who you can’t help but feel deserves to be happy. It’s a great book that kept me captivated after book one completely sucked me in. Absolutely worth the credit. Well written and great narration.

I almost didn’t buy this one because of the negative reviews on the male voice portraying the female character. However I am glad I did. D.C. Cole did a great job playing both sides. With his inflection and lilt you have no problem distinguishing the characters or following the storyline.

Still worth the credit

The first book is great. And the way the female lead goes from young and naïve to a strong badass is awesome in a believable way. The male lead starts out as a strong sexy dom and is likable pretty much from the beginning.
But there is just something that turns my stomach about a dom becoming the submissive and a supposed strong sexy man crawling around on the floor calling his sub “mistress”. That’s where the story lost me. I feel like it would have been an amazing story without all of that.

Finally a book that was worth paying for!

The story line is great and the mystery unfolds so explosively the entire way through the book! Sex scenes change each time so nothing repetitive. I loved the spanking scenes….super hot! Even the narrators leave you nothing to complain about. She isn’t breathy or overzealous and his voice, while a little gravely, suits the total dominance of an alpha shifter.
Definitely an author I would use another credit on!

A twisted exciting story line to go with the kink!

I’m not into age play but I’m not judging anyone who is. We all have our own things. However finding good spanking books where the woman is naturally submissive and the man is beautifully dominant has been hard for me to do on audibles. Mostly I find hardcore bdsm or just play spanking to spice up sex. So after reading the info I decided to try this book. Wow! I am so glad I did! The extent of age play is simply that she is told to call him daddy. But the spankings are real and for discipline with a woman who doesn’t try to whine her way out of them and even admits to being turned on by them. Plus there wasn’t anything that felt over the line or abusive from our hero. Just sexy and in control.
All that with a great mystery/thriller storyline made this one of the very few books I’ve actually found worth the money! The narrators did a great job so listening was very enjoyable. I will definitely be looking into more books by this author ☺️

Seriously?!!

This book has been out since 2018 and no one has bothered to fix the chapter that defaults? That is a huge missing piece of this story and basically what the entire second book leads up to! It just completely skipped the entire rescue. So frustrating when you pay $15 a month to hear just one story and it glitches this bad. How did she get out of the basement cell? Who the hell knows, just figure it out on your own as if you even care to now!

I gave the story 5 stars because Nicole did an amazing job making a completely unbelievable run of bad circumstances actually seem plausible. The story grips you almost from the start and has the perfect bad boy hero. Her writing flows so well which makes the scenes interesting and easy to follow. I’m sure whatever chapter we don’t get to hear made the book even better but……

Narration by Jessica Threet was completely believable and her voice was appropriately animated. But I’m not sure what was happening with the male narration as sometimes the main character sounded American then as if he was from India yet he had lived in Mexico since his teens?

Perfect mix of action, emotions and erotica

I actually found this book before hearing the first so now I have to go back and get that one too. This is my first audible review and I’m only writing it because it is the first book that had me fighting sleep just listen to one more chapter....and then just one more after that.
