NOT disappointed - I loved it!
Revisado: 05-09-13
I just finished listening to Dead Ever After for the second time and loved it more the second time around. Sookie grew up...."I'm Sookie Stackhouse and I belong here." I wanted to cheer out loud for her.
Charlaine, thanks for Sookie's adventures and the fun ride it was watching her character develop into this self-assured woman who knew she could handle whatever life had to throw at her. I know I'll be listening to the whole series every year or two to enjoy it again and again.
Johanna Parker, thanks for some of the best narration ever. You are truly the voice of Sookie and her Bon Temps buddies. I loved listening to every word.

Great ending, Christopher!
Revisado: 11-20-11
I've loved all the Inheritance novels. Gerard Doyle has been the greatest narrator ever. (I especially loved Saphira's voice.) I was tearful at the end of this book, but not without hope. A fine first four books for such a young author and I have to say this last one is my favorite. Thanks, Christopher, for the wonderful journey.

I've read (listened to) all of Michael Connelly's novels and I felt this is one of his best. I couldn't stop listening. I hope the next novel in this series is in the works to come along soon.

Listen to the sample before purchasing!
Revisado: 06-02-09
For some strange reason the publisher changed narrators, from Marguerite Gavin to Gigi Bermingham, and I found this very difficult to listen to being used to Ms. Gavin's voice for the first 5 books. I wish I had noticed the narrator change before purchasing and listened to the sample first. I totally agree with the other comments here regarding the narrator issue. I had to give up listening and downloaded the book to my Kindle so I could read it instead.

Funniest Yet!
Revisado: 04-10-09
A friend of mine turned me on to Joan Hess' Arly Hanks series some time ago and I was more than delighted to find a few of them here on Audible.com.
"Misery Loves Maggody" is one of the funniest Maggody books yet. I was laughing so hard the tears ran down my face. If you love some great humor with your mysteries, I highly recommend this book (series). Also, the narration by CJ Critt is superb!

Historia
Madeline Dare, a tough-talking, shotgun-toting ex-debutante, is not your average detective. Then again, not much about her life is what she expected. Born of old money into high society, she married into a Syracuse farming family and a bottom-of-the-food-chain job writing puff pieces for the local newspaper. Her emotional barometer these days ranges from dry irony to whining exasperation.

Witty and a great mystery.
Revisado: 05-01-08
I loved this book. I laughed out loud at some of the lines in this book. The little twists and turns in the plot plus background information added so much to this novel. I started listening to it yesterday morning and finished it last evening. I couldn't put it down and hated it to end. I can hardly wait to start listening to "The Crazy School."
The narrator, Hillary Huber, was perfect for this story. She delivered the great lines in this book with perfection. A great choice for this book.
