Historia
This novel is a brilliant first-person narrative of the rise and fall of the Norse gods - retold from the point of view of the world's ultimate trickster, Loki. A number-one best seller in the UK, The Gospel of Loki tells the story of Loki's recruitment from the underworld of Chaos; his many exploits on behalf of his one-eyed master, Odin; through to his eventual betrayal of the gods and the fall of Asgard.

Good read if a little off on the facts.
Revisado: 03-03-24
I really enjoyed this book and loved the protagonist but I did find the lack of Loki being an Ice Giant a big miss. The story would have been just fine using his true heritage.

Great Beginner’s Guide
Revisado: 05-08-23
John Warren does a good job at covering most of the basics of BDSM for the reader. The book can get rather repetitive in places but so much of the information overlaps.

Narration made it hard to listen.
Revisado: 09-16-21
The narrator has difficulty maintaining the “voices” and their differences. He also tends to “Shatnerize” the dialogue. The story itself is a good one with an interesting take on human interactions with the spiritual. Worth the hard listen to get the story.

1st Time Narrating?
Revisado: 10-16-19
I've enjoyed this series, but the narration of this last book made it difficult to keep listening. Gray brings the definition of "Shatnering" to whole new heights. His ability to add unnecessary, overly dramatic, lengthy pauses to the dialogue is unrivaled. At times it felt like he recorded the script one or two words at a time and then poorly spliced it all together. As a fan of the series I toughed it out until the end but I will avoid his narrations in the future.

When Earth is rocked by evidence that extraterrestrials may have seeded human DNA throughout the universe, a one-way expedition into deep space is mounted to uncover the truth. What linguist Meg Dupris and her crewmates aboard the Earth ship Damocles discover on Didet - a planet bathed in the near-eternal daylight of seven suns - is a humanoid race with a different language, a different look, and a surprisingly similar society. But here, it’s the "Earthers" who are the extraterrestrial invaders, and it’s up to Meg - a woman haunted by tragedy and obsessed with the power of communication - to find the key to establishing trust between the natives and the newcomers.

Great story-Hard to get past narrator speech pattern.
Revisado: 04-13-18
The storyline was wonderful. Creative, well paced, believable. The narrator did a good job of giving each character a voice and personality of their own but she has a speech pattern that was hard for me to get past. She has a tendency to draw out her words. I tried to find the actual term for her speech pattern but couldn't find anything. Obviously I wasn't disturbed by it enough to stop listening but it very definitely reduced the enjoyment of the listening. I will be cautious about getting other books narrated by her.

Historia
When out-of-shape IT technician Roen wakes up and starts hearing voices in his head, he naturally assumes he’s losing it. He isn’t. As of last night, he has a passenger in his brain - an ancient alien life-form called Tao, whose race crash-landed on Earth before the first fish crawled out of the oceans. Over the millennia his people have trained human heroes to be great leaders, to advance our species at a rate far beyond what it would have achieved on its own. Split into two opposing factions - the peace-loving, but under-represented Prophus, and the savage, powerful Genjix - the aliens have been in a state of civil war for centuries.

Revisado: 09-11-17
This is a new spin on an old conspiracy. Certainly a book that makes you go: Hhhrrmmm.... The protagonist is very relatable to the average person. Conspiracy buffs will love this book but will question their pet theory afterward. It's not the Illuminati or the Lizard People we have to worry about.... I Absolutely Loved It and Want More!

Revisado: 04-08-17
If you are a fan of Cherryh and have developed a personal relationship with the Foreigner Universe you are going to love, love, love this book! Cherryh has opened the biggest can of worms yet! I liked the new style of the simultaneous, but separate, action going on with Bren and Geri-ji. Although, I did miss the voices of some of the other regulars. And, oh the ending... it hurt in its unfinished apprehension. I NEED the next book tomorrow!!!!
