Historia
Two mighty empires are at war—and both will lose, with thousands of planets falling to the extinction event called the Scour. At least that's what the artificial intelligence known as Rupshe believes. But somewhere in the multiverse there exists a force—the Mother Mass—that could end the war in an instant, and Rupshe has assembled a team to find it. Essien Nkanika, a soldier trying desperately to atone for past sins; the cat-woman Moon, a conscienceless killer; the digitally recorded mind of physicist Hadiz Tambuwal; Paz, an idealistic child and the renegade robot spy Dulcimer Coronal.

A full and complete story
Revisado: 07-09-24
Even though this is book two of what is obviously going to be a huge series I did appreciate that this book has a satisfying ending. The primary story is complete and they wrap up all lose ends from book one

Perfect
Revisado: 03-10-23
I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The author has a gift for explaining complex financial concepts in a way that anyone can understand. The book is not only well-written but also fast-paced.
One section that particularly stood out to me was the author's discussion of light and how the cost to obtain it has changed over time. It was a unique perspective that I had not seen explored in this way anywhere else. The author's ability to offer such insights is a testament to his depth of knowledge.

Well done
Revisado: 12-11-21
The book delivers on its description. The author covers several real-world examples in detail, and organizes everything to present a 'big picture' of what is going on with cybercrime and what we as individuals can do about it (not much but there-are-some-things).
The narration was top notch. His eager delivery is perfectly suited to the material.

Could not finish - Didn't like the characters
Revisado: 10-22-21
I could not finish the book. I realized that I did not like the characters, there was a LOT of 'extra fluff' that was not needed. The main character is investigating a crime she does not want to investigate and says so multiple times. If she doesn't care, why should I?

The Martian is a great book. I loved it, but, this one is better. The characters are likable. The plot is excellent. The science is top notch. This book is a masterpiece.

In The Worry Trick, psychologist and anxiety expert David Carbonell shows how anxiety hijacks the brain and offers effective techniques to help you break the cycle of worry, once and for all. Slow Start
Revisado: 02-20-20
This book had a REALLY slow start. Took over 2 hours for him to finally get to the point. However, it was worth the wait because he does deliver on the promises that he spends the first two hours making. Basically our thoughts are not reality. The point of the book is to get you to accept these thoughts. This actually provides a 'solution'.

The characters are really great
Revisado: 02-12-20
The writing is the best in the business. The plot starts slow, to really establish the characters, then things get really exciting in the middle. The tension stays really-high until the last hour. There is a good ending, and that is good because the next book "Knife Children" didn't come until 10 years later.

Historia
In 2012, 21-year-old Dutch hacker David Schrooten was living at his parents’ house in the Netherlands and spending most of his time online. When he wasn’t squabbling with fellow hackers, he was making plans to visit his Romanian girlfriend. His life turned upside-down when Interpol agents arrested him at an airport in Romania on international hacking charges involving $63 million in damages. Soon Schrooten found himself extradited to the United States, a country where he had never been before.

Very anti-american
Revisado: 03-08-19
It was hard to listen to all the anti-American content. This guy basically feels he was not in the wrong because what he did is not a crime in his own country. To add to this, the chapters are alternated with the co-author who reads in her own very grating voice, more anti-American stuff. I stuck with the story to the end because if you concentrated on 'what' happed it is fascinating.

It is fine to have a short story, but this one reads like a long book that just-has-no-ending. What is resolved? I'm not sure?
