One hell of a ride....

What made the experience of listening to At the Cowboy's Mercy the most enjoyable?

The characters were straight up with one another which is a refreshing change. There was a good back story and just enough strength in both main characters. The story was fast paced and an easy listen.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

A damsel in distress and the sexy old boyfriend to the rescue in cowboy boots....who wouldn't love that.

Which character – as performed by Tracy Marks – was your favorite?

Tracy did a fantastic job with all of the characters and each was bought to life by her skill.

Any additional comments?

The ending was too abrupt. Please wrap it up all nicely so we feel like the characters lived happily ever after - this is romance and fiction after all.

Strong, sexy and fun...........just fabulous

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, this was a very entertaining and sexy story with great characters and some fun twists. There are wonderful sections of this book that take it out of the realm of boring old parallels and get us to understand respect and fall in love with the strong characters.

Have you listened to any of Tracy Marks’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't read Tracy Marks's other work but I will be now!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no. I loved the book but there is definitely sections you just want to absorb a little before moving on too quickly. I'll be listening to this one more than once.

Any additional comments?

The other characters introduced in this story have plenty of intrigue and hunkiness that is not directly related to Siri's story. I hope to see their stories introduced so that I can enjoy their journey too.

What was most disappointing about Kristen Ashley’s story?

The characters were unlikable. I found this hard to finish: I don't mind swearing but 'bitch' is no endearment and 'daddy' makes me feel sick. They don'y belong in sexy novels for strong women.

Savannah did a good job narrating but the story was not my cup of tea.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes, if they were into western romance without gunfire and explosions.

What aspect of Robin Rowan’s performance would you have changed?

Robin has a gentle whisper toned voice that made the female character sound a little like a simper, the male character voice was good but more strength of emotion in the story would have been good.

Do you think The Rancher Takes a Bride needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, Travis finally made the right choices at the very end and I could not go through that stubbornness and stupidity again.

Sorry, I couldn't relate to these characters and didn't like either of them. The story was good but it's hard to get into a story about characters you dislike.

Yes, it has all the right elements for a wonderful story and is short enough to listen too in one sitting.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I love the whole bear family; introducing sexy males characters with intriguing glimpses at who they are and the match making grandmamma bear. I want greater depth of detail and build up of romance - you know those heart stopping moments that make you love each character. It's all there but I want love and romance times ten.

What does Meghan Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Individual personality bought to life through her narration.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Go the whole nine yards and make the story longer with more build up and detail in the romance please. The story is really well written and I'd like the ingredients to be baked a little longer.

Would you try another book from Becca Fanning and/or Meghan Kelly?

Yes, the story has all the right ingredients and was light and fun to listen too. The narrator also did a great job.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

My title says it all. I want more of everything..............details, back story, depth. Please please give me more of the story with added description, build up and character.

What about Meghan Kelly’s performance did you like?

She has a lovely lilting voice that is easy listening all the way!

Do you think Ben needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I think Ben needs a prelude and more details in this book and all the fabulous characters introduced. This book was like a teaser............hints and glimpses of the characters and their history abound.

Please please please avoid the skips forward, (e.g. two weeks later) I want all the juicy details and to fall in love with these characters and their story too. You drew me in with a perfect storm of characters and events but I missed the build up and deeper connections supplied by a longer story.

Sexy and fun

What made the experience of listening to The Sheikh's Tenacious Lover the most enjoyable?

It was fast paced, funny and sexy. The characters were very different and that made for some silly fun and some romantic tension. Love that Rene was exactly as the title suggested........ tenacious not simpering or embarrassed by her quirky errors. It made for a lot of fun.

What other book might you compare The Sheikh's Tenacious Lover to and why?

I usually listen to much longer book so I don't know that I can compare this to another but it has the sizzle and fun of some of Joanna Lindsay's earlier work.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Rene meets the Sheikh's twin brother.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Ruined wedding... no worries go on the honeymoon, pick up a sexy male stranger and see what exotic adventures await you.

Wonderful paranormal mystery & a pinch of romance

Would you listen to The Storm and the Darkness again? Why?

Yes, there are layers upon layers in this book. Like a blooming flower the plot reveals itself petal by petal before you get to the heart of all the characters. A second listen will be a must to appreciate the hints and smaller details along the way.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Storm and the Darkness?

The kitchen confrontation between all the characters. What a great way to demonstrate all the main characters strengths and weaknesses............... in a crisis of considerable proportions. (No spoiler alerts here)

Which scene was your favorite?

SOOOOO many of them, each unique and special in its own way. I did especially like Fynn's bedside vigil, he was super sweet.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it built up beautifully and gradually introducing tid-bits which kept you wondering what was going to happen next with each and every character. Not so much edge of the seat but more of an enticement or a teaser to keep you speculating.

The narrator did a fantastic job. She was so lovely to listen to and she did justice to each character.

Entertaining easy listen

Would you consider the audio edition of The Haunting to be better than the print version?

I much prefer the audio version since this is a quick and easy listen with smooth narrator. This an ideal audio for a quick trip however keep on the headphones this is not for young young or sensitive ears.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jace, I felt the best scenes predominately focused on his perspectives, thoughts and his impact on others or their responses to him. In a relatively short story, character depth is difficult to achieve but the focus on Jace afforded the listener a better opportunity to know him. I thought the "Flame" was a bit of a selfish grumpy bastard but his befuddled desire for Kelly and love for his brother and mother redeem him.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene on the bus at the very beginning, demonstrating Kelly's spunk and Jace's dangerous reactions but unintended softer side. The first encounter sets up the relationship between the main characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, the story developed quickly and flowed smoothly. It was easy to listen to all in one sitting but was not an edge of the seat thriller which demanded not to be put down.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the story it has all the right elements and is well written but I prefer a more gripping detailed story. The characters were written as strong but the hushed tones of the narrator somewhat muted the strength of character and in some areas the story. The narrators voice had a nice quality and great distinction between characters but sounded a bit too much like a husky whisper when not in specific character.
