I liked the idea of the story. I couldn’t handle the writing. Too earnest and gushy for me. I knew how it would end by at least half way through and then was disappointed to be exactly right.

It totally works

It starts with a too-long romantic account of life on Planet Blue, back filling ponderous details like only a sequel can. I was worried, for sure. But then that section ended, and I forgave it, because what book in the series doesn’t have a too-long romantic account? Plus, what came next was ridiculous, far-reaching, mind-blowing, glorious tales that swept across space and time. Again, aligned with all the other books, and taking things even further. So satisfying.
