This book is completely riveting. To know how much power those with money can have is scary. Mr. Farrow did an amazing job providing the dark and seedy details of how he unraveled the abuse Harvey Weinstein was administering on woman and how NBC covered it, and allegations against Matt Lauer up. I listened to this in one day. I couldn’t put it down & literally left me sitting on the edge of my chair. Worth the credit to to listen. Will be listening to this again tomorrow! Get the book!

Not one to keep

This is my fist negative review for any book... ever! I couldn’t even finish the book. I felt like I was listening to a poorly written keystones cop skit.
The book is kinda all over the place in the beginning. Clumsy Girl gives up being a Dr. because one of her patients died, then works at an escort agency as a receptionist. While out she meets Ollie. Runs into him a few times, he gets her number & poof he’s gone from the book for several chapters. Then a client want to take her out. Nope she isn’t doing that. So her roommate persuades her to enter a reality show contest where she was, surprise, selected as a contestant. Through a series of unnatural & unbelievable occurrence (supposed to be the funny parts I guess) she gets to the destination only to see Ollie is her romance match. And through more unrealistic & not funny scenarios then get close & learn about each other.... and so on!
As I said above, I didn’t find this book funny at all. Trust me, I get this is fiction, but the scenarios were such a reach that they were just not funny. I’ve never been more glad to return a book as I am this this one.

Love, Love, Love This story

The story between Gia and Rush is written very well & truly can’t write a review without giving away the story. That being said, I’ll say this... The sexy scenes are very sexy & hot. & it’s a very good balance between the plot & sexy scenes. The plot is great and what a cliffhanger Ms. Ward & Ms. Keeland left us with at the end. Definitely worth the read or listen. The narrators are great. Sebastian York definitely has the voice to fit the character of Rush, and Maxine Mitchell is a great call for Gia’s character. I definitely recommend this book and you will need to read/listen to this book first before Rebel Heart. As of now, Rebel Heart is not available in an audio form, but I really hope they decide to make the audio book for it.... I mean REALLY HOPE! ❤️

I love this series! All 4 book were written with strong, independent lead females... so refreshing... and The male rolls in each book weren’t some million/billionaires having to save a damsel in destress. Their stories and personalities were great and all different. Collin, the six year old was written fabulously. It’s was nice to see how this family interacts with each other through the good & the bad. The steamy scenes, were just that... STEAMY! Ms Harte sure can write a fantastic love scene.
The only thing I didn’t like about this series is ...spoiler alert.... I felt like there wasn’t any closure with each couple. All the couples were left engaged, pregnant and about to move in together. Don’t know of Collin ever got his little brother or if , Vanessa & Cam had a girl. I’m hoping that there is one more book out there that will cover all six couples, the four brothers, the McCuley parents & now Aunt Sue & Leim, Dell’s dad with a final ending.
Thank you Ms. Harte for writing a wonderful series.

Good Read

Love that this series of books is a continuation of the Brown Family series. This book has great steamy adult scenes. I liked the fact that Ms. Dane addressed the issue of family being supportive and non supportive of non-traditional relationships and living life for your own happiness is more important than living it trying to please others.
Characters are refreshing. All three are successful in their industry, including the lead female, Jewels. Nice not to read, or listen to another poor girl meets billionaire man & they live happily ever after.

I love the story of the Steel Brothers. Love that an important and relatively taboo subject for romance novels is addressed and done so in a cleaver way. The characters development from book to book is good and I’m a huge fan of Helen Hardt.
The only negative thing I can say is that I wish I would have read this book instead of listening to it. I wasn’t impressed with the narrators at all. Alexander Cendes sounded like every sentence was a life shattering event. As the oldest brother in this series and basically the head of the family, I would have thought he would be more calm, cool and collected and not sounding like he was saving someone from a burning building with each paragraph he read.
Teri Clark Linden on the other hand, sounded like she needed a few cups of coffee. Although, I get she is playing a psychologist and should sound more subdued, she could have thrown some enthusiasm in during some parts, like the sex scenes at the very least. She was very monotone and I found to be boring to listen to.

It's a love story

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Layla Hagen. The bOok is definitely more of a love story and has mild adult scenes. Based on other comments, I was expecting something a little more steamy. That's said, it was a good story, but predictable like most love stories... Billionaire males and struggling girl fall in love. Still a good story because the lead male isn't a jerk or some head strong dominant. I'll continue to read/listen to the rest of the books in this series.
