Historia
Every SaaS company on earth is careening towards its next revenue plateau. It’s called a Growth Ceiling—a moment in time where growth stops, and you’re losing just as many customers as you’re bringing in. It’s not an opinion—it’s just how recurring revenue businesses work.

Little value
Revisado: 12-01-24
There is little to gain from this book. Maybe because I’ve founded a few companies, but the concepts could be written in one short blog post. And even then it wouldn’t be very good. Disappointing because I was really excited to read this. I was expecting it to be more like “how brands grow”, but with a software angle.
Let me summarize it for you: add customers, activate customers, retain customers, expand customers. Then through an unclear, conversational approach - they tell you random stories that are barely related to the topic.

Historia
Meet a genuine American folk hero cut from the homespun cloth of America's heartland: Sam Walton, who parlayed a single dime store in a hardscrabble cotton town into Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world. The undisputed merchant king of the late 20th century, Sam never lost the common touch. Here, finally, inimitable words. Genuinely modest, but always sure of his ambitions and achievements. Sam shares his thinking in a candid, straight-from-the-shoulder style. In a story rich with anecdotes and the "rules of the road" of both Main Street and Wall Street, Sam Walton chronicles the inspiration, heart, and optimism that propelled him to lasso the American Dream.

One of my all time favorites
Revisado: 12-16-23
I loved the narrative and authentic midwestern principles that led to building one of the largest companies in the world. Highly recommend.

Exhausting to listen to
Revisado: 07-04-18
If you want to listen to hours of someone regurgitating common and obvious commentary about providing customer service this is your book.
If you want to listen to one off stories about how the author had a bad experience at a store or airline and “would never, in my life, shop there again” this is your book.
You also hear, about 200 times, that the author is a “management consultant”.
I found nothing insightful or useful, but maybe you will.

Historia
More than 30 years ago, nutrition researcher T. Colin Campbell and his team at Cornell University, in partnership with teams in China and England, embarked upon the most comprehensive study ever undertaken of the relationship between diet and the risk of developing disease. What they found, when combined with findings in Campbell's laboratory, opened their eyes to the dangers of a diet high in animal protein and the unparalleled health benefits of a whole foods, plant-based diet.

Great, but need PDF with exhibits
Revisado: 05-29-17
Content is great, with potentially life changing advice. The publisher needs to make the exhibits available to audible listeners. He references them no less than 20x in the book but you can't download them!!!
