Great story, better to read than audible

Great story, highly suggest. better to read than listen to audible. reason is that about half of every chapter is rereading his stats.... probably a good 25% of the hours in audible are reading stats.

enjoyed story... I usually don't use audible credit on leas than 10 hour story. was worth it. really wish the narrator didn't make sound effects.

Great story, and narration was fine, except when the narrator hollers out the skills.... I was constantly cringing with the anticipation of hearing "CRACKED PHANTOM ARMOR!!!!"

book just ends in middle of story @#$%!

I read many reviews before purchasing this book. Story was OK. However very disappointed that the story just ends in the middle of nowhere as in a to be continued. a little upset that I must have missed the reviews that mentioned this.

interesting underlying story, but emotional bs

terrible, characters just kept crying and crying and complaining and crying about how women are poorly treated in video games. spoiler , spoiler do not read further. one of the mc is a man that plays using a female avatar. that is no big deal. if he was gay, no big deal. if he was bi no big deal. however he is completely straight, but somehow playing a female avatar makes him turn completely emotionally and mentally turn into a woman while in game. the man bashing gets old quick. all the men in the game are either stupid, crass, womanizers, or evil. it's really not that bad, but after like 14 hours of this underlying bs , hated the book.

Really wanted to like this series, but only OK

I listened to a recent book by the author "The Two Week Curse: Ten Realms, Book 1" and found it very enjoyable. So I then turned to this series. The first book in this series - the Trapped Mind Project - was absolutely terribly written, but concept was good. I couldn't believe it was the same author it was so bad. I read several reviews and thought I would try the second book in the series, but book 2 just stopped midway through the darn story! (writing was much better than in Trapped Mind). Last I listened to the "3rd" book which was really just book 2 continued. The author's writing ability continues to get better, but... not good enough to spend my audible credits on. I will probably purchase and listen to the author's next book in "The Ten Realms" series, but the author's writing ability just wasn't good enough when he wrote this series. If money or audible credits is not a concern - then sure, but if not, I would pass unless there are no other books by other authors you really enjoy.
