Do you want to learn a secret?
Revisado: 02-04-25
An intricate story of one of Warhammer's most enigmatic characters. Fans of the Dark Angels and anyone who likes unconventional story telling.

Historia
War heroes aren't usually called out of semi-retirement and sent to the far reaches of the galaxy for a routine investigation. So when Colonel Carl Butler answers the call from an old and powerful friend, he knows it's something big - and he's not being told the whole story. A high councilor's son has gone MIA out of Cappa Base, the space station orbiting a battle-ravaged planet. The young lieutenant had been wounded and evacuated - but there's no record of him having ever arrived at hospital command.

The author created a compelling blend of military realism and mystery. I'll be very happy to see more from Mammay.

But Colonel Joe Bishop warns that they might not like what they find, and they can't do anything about it without endangering Earth.

Embrace the Awesomeness!
Revisado: 12-21-17
Another enjoyable entry in the series. It's a great break from more heavy duty sci-fi (think the bastard child of Douglas Adams and Robert Henlein).

Historia
The colonists of the planet Montana are accustomed to being ignored. Situated in the buffer zone between two rival human empires, their world is a backwater: remote, provincial, independently minded. Even as a provisional member of the Republic of Aligned Worlds, Montana merits little consideration - until it becomes the flashpoint in an impending interstellar war. When pirate raids threaten to destabilize the region, the RAW deploys its mechanized armored infantry to deal with the situation.

Equal parts Firefly and Star Ship Troopers
Revisado: 12-15-17
Enjoyable but not exceptional space opera. I quite like some of the concepts but they strain credulity. The book is more Fiction than Science.
The book also contains some Christian undertones (not all that surprising given the author's other works). That's pretty unusual in Science Fiction and I think he could have done a better job using the tension between her nascent faith and how it conflicts with her role to greater effect. Maybe that conflict obvious for practicing Christian's but it isn't fully explored.
