An enjoyable listen. Ten stories to fill your time. These stories are both entertaining and historical. I love historical romance and this set give ten examples of brides. They are well written and the narration was well done. Each character has their own personality and story to tell. Great to listen one story at a time or for a long car trip.

What happens at the end?

This story tells what happens at the end of time as we know it. We follow Kat’s story after the death of her friend. The story contains angels, demons and a face pace explanation of what the end may look like. Some of the characters come from the first book in this series and others are new, read as the second book, or as a stand alone. This will get you thinking and keep you listening or reading for hours.

Set in the 1800’s this romance follows the school teacher with all the school board rules, and the journey of love with the local deputy. She was not looking for love and the rules made it difficult but in the end love wins.

Fire department Police department look after each other

This suspense takes place in Fire Beach, a small town in Illinois. The story weaves together the local departments and together they solve two crimes while two characters learn to give love a chance. The characters are like able and believable. I enjoy the way the author takes a character from a previous book, Cassidy, and gives us what happens next. A great listen for those who enjoy suspense with a budding romance weaved in.

Redemption Love

A love story that transforms a young girl from her abusive, addicted home to a wife and mother. Our past shapes who we are but Jess shows us how God can redeem and restore. This starts out as a college romance with a young couple doing their best to not have any emotional attachment both running from their past. In one year they are in a place no one expected them to be, a happy healthy relationship. Great listen, and discussion starter.

Love comes crashing in

I listen to this story on a trip home, it was a perfect companion. I have read the story so the characters Brody and Tia and the story were familiar to me. I enjoyed how an automobile accident starts this story. Listening to The author read gives an even better picture of each character. This is a story with suspense and lots of emotions, a great listen. I appreciate a clean romance that tells the journey of relationship. Looking fwd to Bubba’s story.

Life’s choices have far reaching consequences

Sandra finds herself pregnant and her boyfriend convinces her to abort her baby. These choices set her life on a path of heartache and the journey to forgiveness and redemption. This is a tough topic and Lorana Hoopes has written a wonderful story that all Christians should read. The story shows all the loss from one abortion, and the journey to redemption.

Listening

Although this is a fiction work, it makes you think, are you listening for God’s voice. It is well written and follows two women and their stories of hearing from God. Each handles what happens in life differently and I was caught up in how our choices effect others. This book also shows what is happening in the spiritual realm as the characters are dealing with life. The characters deal with hard situations that have many asking how can God allow....and still be good. All around a great read to open your mind and heart to the big God in the world we live in.
