Dyana Graceford never asked for her engagement to the mysterious Prince Rydan, who has been locked away in a tower for most of his life due to an unknown but terrible affliction. She had no way of knowing, however, that this unwanted engagement would lead her into the woods of the infamous witch who burdened the prince with his curse. Can she convince the witch to lift it? From the old world of castles and creatures come flourishes of new magic in Rydan’s Curse. Makayla Love wonderfully manages to touch on the modern themes of gender, identity, and power dynamics, all from within the traditional quest structure of the fairy story. In the end, it is a memorable tale, told in this fantastic recording by Kolbe Handal, whose voices for each character are compellingly rendered and unique, making for a sweet and worthwhile listen.
