Historia
To eight-year-old Bela, her family is her world. There’s Mommy, Daddo, and Grandma Ruth. But there is also Other Mommy, a malevolent entity who asks her every day: “Can I go inside your heart?” When horrifying incidents around the house signal that Other Mommy is growing tired of asking Bela the question over and over, Bela understands that unless she says yes, her family will soon pay. Other Mommy is getting restless, stronger, bolder. Only the bonds of family can keep Bela safe, but other incidents show cracks in her parents’ marriage. The safety Bela relies on is about to unravel.

The Ending
Revisado: 01-31-25
Usually horror stories have a last hurray at the end but the ending pleasantly surprised me.

Historia
It’s Halloween night, 1984, in Coventry, Massachusetts, and two families are unraveling. Up and down the street, horrifying secrets are being revealed, and all the while, mixed in with the trick-or-treaters of all ages, four children who do not belong are walking door to door, merging with the kids of Parmenter Road. Children in vintage costumes with faded, eerie makeup. They seem terrified, and beg the neighborhood kids to hide them away, to keep them safe from The Cunning Man.

It's boring
Revisado: 12-17-24
It's too much neighborhood drama and not enough answers and actually plot. It's really just not that interesting and hard to finish. It took me months to actually finish it.

The characters
Revisado: 04-07-24
Packard is a fun character but I was hoping for more mystery around the kidnapping. Still good just not what I was expecting

Historia
When Silla and Nori arrive at their aunt's home, it's immediately clear that the "blood manor" is cursed. The creaking of the house and the stillness of the woods surrounding them would be enough of a sign, but there are secrets, too - the questions that Silla can't ignore: Who is the beautiful boy who's appeared from the woods? Who is the man her little sister sees, but no one else? And why does it seem that ever since they arrived, the trees have been creeping closer?

It dragged on a bit.
Revisado: 07-15-23
I didn’t really like how the story dragged on. I think it could have been done 2 hours shorter. Still a good ending despite the predictability.

Great
Revisado: 07-11-22
The story was great but the ending was a bit expected. I mean I was hoping that Elle was okay but we already knew she wasn’t. And Lloyds ending wasn’t my favorite

Historia
Ever since last year's homecoming dance, best friends-turned-best enemies Zorie and Lennon have made an art of avoiding each other. But when a group camping trip goes south, Zorie and Lennon find themselves stranded in the wilderness. Alone. Together. What could go wrong? With no one but each other for company, Zorie and Lennon have no choice but to hash out their issues via witty jabs and insults as they try to make their way to safety.

Great story
Revisado: 04-18-22
The only problem I have is that we never find out what happened to the guy in the cave. If there even was a guy. Was it a mirage? Was it a weird hobo guy? Did I somehow make it up and it never happened? Who knows
