Very disappointed
Revisado: 10-05-24
The first book was well written and the reader was entertaining. This book was read by author who phrased things awkwardly and missed some pronunciation and certainly added nothing to Scottish accents.
The sex scenes were longer than the plot

Reader is passive
Revisado: 01-31-24
Great story but hard to finish due to reader. Pronunciations are good but pacing and voice is too linear.

Historia
Kate Potter used to love Christmas. A few years ago, she would have been wrapping her presents in September and baking mince pies on Halloween, counting down the days and hours to Christmas. But that was before Kate’s husband left for the army and never came home. Now she can hardly stand December at all. Kate can’t deny she’s lonely, yet she doesn’t think she’s ready for romance. She knows that her son, Jack, needs a Christmas to remember - just like Kate needs a miracle to help her finally move forward with her life. So she’s decided she’ll have to make her own miracle.

Moving on.
Revisado: 12-17-23
Moving on from grief and financial challenges means facing them with guts even amongst holidays. Well written story with a very likable heroine.

Integrity of characters
Revisado: 12-11-23
This is a Christmas title with a year round story that can be enjoyed in any season. The characters are interesting and their lives intertwine in subtle ways. Very enjoyable.

Warning. Book about alcoholism and
Revisado: 01-04-21
Sometimes I wish books had warning labels. The first half of this book is about infertility and ensuing divorce and alcoholism and being born again. The second half is about a woman explaining her lesbian walk. None of the subjects are handled poorly as Jodi is a terrific writer. But this is not a book to get lost in. It will challenge.
