I had no idea what this was when a friend told me about it and I am so glad that they suggested I listen to it. What an inspiration the folks of Newfoundland are I hope that in my lifetime I'm able to visit and thank them for renewing my faith in people.

truly fascinating tales from folks who flock to follow fowl. The book is filled with interesting stories from people across the globe who've watched, studied and raised birds of all kinds and provides a slew of information that I doubt could be found anywhere else.

Great read for religious scholars

um...what?

maybe I missed something crucial in the length of this book. maybe I'm not well read enough to catch the subtle hints that bring these characters into focus. perhaps the point was a bit too vague or hung on a single word or phrase uttered in a moment when I wasn't fully paying attention. what am I missing here? there seems to be no conclusion for any of the storylines in this book and I struggle to understand; what was the point of this novel?

I really love this book, it's powerful messages are sorely needed in our world. One of the most powerful moments in this audible for me was hearing a man's story of being imprisoned and tortured for years and throughout his greatest fear was that he might lose his compassion for his captors. It still moves me to think of this person, enduring so much pain and injustice but maintaining his humanity. There are many stories from various walks of life, if nothing else this book offers unique perspectives for our shared daily struggles.
