Historia
Two-time winner of the Pulitzer Prize David McCullough tells the dramatic story behind the story about the courageous brothers who taught the world how to fly: Wilbur and Orville Wright.
On December 17, 1903, at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, Wilbur and Orville Wright's Wright Flyer became the first powered, heavier-than-air machine to achieve controlled, sustained flight with a pilot aboard. The Age of Flight had begun. How did they do it? And why?

The book was excellent. I am not a huge fan of biographies but I am a huge fan of aviation and I loved it. My only regret is that it wasn't twice as long.

John and Jenny were just beginning their life together. They were young and in love, with a perfect little house and not a care in the world. Then they brought home Marley, a wriggly yellow furball of a puppy. Life would never be the same.

I rarely cry, but smoke got in my eyes toward the end of this book. The stories were funny and endearing, and the narrator (who is also the author) did a terrific job. I will definitely seek out other title by this author in the near future.

Lackluster but interesting

I liked the book very much. It was very informative. But it attributed quotes soooo much. Every sentence the author has talking about who said what. Still interesting to listen to though.

Historia
For decades, the Left has been putting on a play with themselves as heroes in an ongoing civil rights movement - which they were mostly absent from at the time. Long after pervasive racial discrimination ended, they kept pretending America was being run by the Klan and that liberals were black America’s only protectors. It took the O. J. Simpson verdict - the race-based acquittal of a spectacularly guilty black celebrity as blacks across America erupted in cheers - to shut down the white guilt bank.

I rather enjoyed the book. It shows how the left media manipulates the people into a self-loathing state and perpetuates a false image of minorities and caucasians in typecasted rolls of "the oppressed victims" and "the oppressive perpetrators" respectively.

Historia
Before the movie, this is the novel that gave life to Hawkeye Pierce, Trapper John, Hot Lips Houlihan, Frank Burns, Radar O'Reilly, and the rest of the gang that made the 4077th MASH like no other place in Korea or on earth. The doctors who worked in the Mobile Army Surgical Hospitals (MASH) during the Korean War were well trained but, like most soldiers sent to fight a war, too young for the job. In the words of the author, "a few flipped their lids, but most of them just raised hell, in a variety of ways and degrees."

Historia
James Bond is challenged by a maniacal superfiend: the world's cleverest, cruelest criminal. Complications abound. A beautiful golden girl turns up dead, and a friendly game of two-handed canasta turns into a deadly game of survival with ever-rising stakes: 15 billion dollars worth of U.S. government bullion. But 007 knows that Auric Goldfinger's rules remain brutally simple: heads I win, tails you die.

I might be biased because Goldfinger is my favorite bond movie, but I really enjoyed this book. It is probably the pinnacle of the original James Bond series. The only fault I can find in it is that it is not longer!

Historia
James Bond is in disgrace. His medical report is critical of the high living that is ruining his health, and M packs him off for a fortnight to a health farm to be tuned up to his former pitch of exceptional fitness. Bond expects a trying two weeks. The last thing he expects is an adversary more deadly, more ruthless even than SMERSH.

The book was not as good as i expected in some respects, and better in others. I expected a more in depth look at the character behind James Bond. I got a how-to-do on several of 007's adventures including bungie jumping and horseback riding. I very entertaining listen.

The story begins on opening day of the NFL season, when bullets begin to rain down upon the upper deck of a packed football stadium. A panic stampede ensues, leading to mass casualties. The alleged sniper is found holding a smoking assault rifle, and is killed by a police marksman. One week later, Congress bans the private possession of all semi-automatic assault rifles. Gun owners are given one week to turn in their semi-automatic rifles, or face a five year mandatory sentence.

Great story, weak performance
Revisado: 07-21-14
I really enjoyed the book. Its odd that it was written before the current President took power but it accurately shows exactly what this president does and how he exploits things for gun control. A great book but it isn't for everyone, and it did go just a hair to far with the conspiracy theories at times. Narration was mediocre at best.

Revisado: 07-01-14
I have read a few Christopher Bram novels and have enjoyed all of them immensely. Hold Tight was no exception. It is very well written, very suspenseful, with just enough eroticism thrown in to create a good balance. It is well preformed and a pleasure to listen to.
