crazy ending
Revisado: 04-21-25
i was a little disappointed at first with how little banter there was between the MCs and overall talk about them being together. it was like once oraya let herself think about raihn in that way, they get together soon after. it’s also constantly mentioning how good of a fight oraya is, and yet she comes close to death in every fight she’s in except the last one. but omg the twist at the end had my jaw on the floor. i’m new to reading but this was the first book where the twist had me questioning everything. additionally, i always like duet narrators better so i can’t wait to listen to the next book!

could be so good if the narration was better

i felt the same way about the first book, but i wish the narrators switched off when talking and not only during chapters of different perspectives. because when the male narrator impersonated the fmc i couldnt help but laugh and it took me out of the story.

good but idk
Revisado: 04-10-25
don’t get me wrong, i really enjoyed this book but something felt off about it. bryce started to annoy me throughout the series with all her lying and kind of being mean to hunt. i also didn’t really care for ethan’s part of the story. this book is waaayyyy different compared to the first book that everyone loved. it lost the murder mystery aspect of it and just became fantasy with a acotar crossover which wasn’t my fav. still really liked it tho even with all the hate im giving it lol

i liked it but definitely not as good as the first
Revisado: 04-04-25
spoilers: it started off good but then i just got bored, and cared more about the romance than the plot, but it got good at the end. the whole point was to find the thunder bird and then that was solved half way through the book so i didn’t really know where it was going. and bryce had been lying about it to everyone which was kind of annoying to me. also how much more can they find out about danika? this girl lived a whole second life and bryce is like “yeah that’s still my bestie,” nah i’d be mad. i still really liked the book tho and will be listening to the next one.

slow but so good once you get into it

it took me a really long time to get into this book, but once it got good, it’s GOOD. the narrator was alright, she did a good job but all the male voices sounded the same to me.

Historia
Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs for as long as she can remember. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

I love this story and the character arc
Revisado: 03-24-25
sure the narrator wasn’t amazing and made some people sound a little funny but it wasn’t as bad as people in the reviews were saying. i still really enjoyed listening to this book. i went into this book hating nesta and left the book loving her, and i think it’s really cool when an author can make you change your opinion on someone.
