Historia
Hercule Poirot's quiet supper in a London coffee house is interrupted when a young woman confides to him that she is about to be murdered. She is terrified, but begs Poirot not to find and punish her killer. Once she is dead, she insists, justice will have been done. Later that night, Poirot learns that three guests at a fashionable London hotel have been murdered, and a cufflink has been placed in each one's mouth. Could there be a connection with the frightened woman?

Great journey, disappointing destination
Revisado: 06-26-20
I was very satisfied with the book until the end, where the solution and the character decisions infuriated me. I re-listened the ending chapters to make sure I wasn't the one mistaken, but no such luck. The "true" chain of events is moronic and inconsistent. I would advice any mystery fan to skip this one.

Historia
Arch-swindler Moist von Lipwig never believed his crimes were hanging offenses, until he found himself with a noose around his neck, dropping through a trap door, and falling into...a government job? Getting the moribund Postal Service up and running again, however, may be an impossible task. Worse, the new Postmaster could swear the mail is talking to him.

Historia
A world with no hunger, no disease, no war, no misery: Humanity has conquered all those things and has even conquered death. Now Scythes are the only ones who can end life - and they are commanded to do so in order to keep the size of the population under control. Citra and Rowan are chosen to apprentice to a scythe - a role that neither wants. These teens must master the "art" of taking life, knowing that the consequence of failure could mean losing their own.

Ever heard of birth control?
Revisado: 03-07-19
The story and characters are great, however the premis could have used a bit more thought. In an age where none dies, who in their right minds has a family of 6, and why doesn't the almost allmighty computer regulate the amount of people who are born. Which is more ethical: denying family a child, or allow it, but then "clean" it away. If you can get past that, the book is excellent.
