Excellent

Very well written, excellent story, but very sad. Thrillers often involve loss and this is no exception- and this loss is poignant.

Long- very long.
Revisado: 04-18-16
The performance is good- but it would be great if Ms. Lee would keep her voice from squeaking. Young women, and even many young girls do *not* sound like squeaky toys when they speak. Performing characters this way denies them any gravitas.
The story was also entirely too long. The build up go the story is about 100 pages too long, and then its conclusion is about 2 chapters. It's a bit like the author wanted to write fiction, then suddenly realized she had started it as a bit of a mystery, so hurriedly tied things up at the end. I felt like I was waiting to find out what happened for a really long time..
That said, the characters were interesting and very likeable and I was quite fond of them by the end.

Another excellent story
Revisado: 07-20-15
I like the actress reading it a lot, except I think giving everyone accents while keeping the narration unaccented is a novel idea but unnecessary. Just do everyone English with different voices- a whole bunch of accented English speakers becomes confusing and a little bit tedious.
This is the second novel I have read/listened to by Ohlsson and I think she's very good!

Excellent
Revisado: 06-16-15
Dane Christie's understanding & portrayal of human emotion, and human weakness is striking and profound as ever in this story. And now I don't like anyone reading her besides Hugh Fraser - he's truly masterful.
