Historia
For years, Becky had known about the rumors of corruption and crime surrounding the Murdaugh family. These accusations came and went, nothing sticking long enough to bring clarity or a clear conviction. Becky had also known of good deeds done by the Murdaughs. She was there when Randolph Murdaugh received the Order of the Palmetto, the highest honor bestowed on a civilian by the governor of South Carolina. What she didn’t know was that Richard Alexander “Alex” Murdaugh was capable of murdering his own wife and son.

Not what I thought
Revisado: 09-26-23
I should have listened to the reviews. The author seems nice, but gave very little information about the case.

Historia
In only 90 seconds, a fire in The Station nightclub in Rhode Island left 100 people dead or dying and injured hundreds more. It would take years to find out why - and who was really at fault. Best-selling author and three-time Emmy Award-winning journalist Scott James investigates all the central figures, including the band’s manager and lead singer, the fire inspector, the maker of the acoustical foam, as well as the brothers.

Mostly Propaganda and Fake News
Revisado: 02-24-22
This is more of an apologetic in favor of the brothers who owned the club than fact based journalism. Painted as heros, he portrays each bother as just another victim.
The club was an overpacked death trap with no sprinklers, covered in highly flammable foam. All to save a buck. The capacity was 404, there were over 460 people inside. They ran out of tickets, but kept taking money and allowing people in.
They were in violation of fire codes with the stage door take swung inward, so they just removed the door during inspection and put it back up for concerts. Records show they passed on buying fire retardant foam in lue of much cheaper flammable foam and covered celling, walls, and doors with it.
Most of this info is brushed over or skipped altogether in this book, just to keep the brothers image squeaky clean.
To get the true story, pick up a copy of Killer Show. You will see a much better balanced report and more details

Historia
In Not a Day Care, Dr. Everett Piper, president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University and author of the viral essay, "This Is Not a Day Care. It's a University!" takes a hard look at what's happening around the country - including the demand for "safe spaces" and trigger warnings at universities like Yale, Brandeis, and Oberlin - and digs in his heels against the sad and dangerous infantilization of the American spirit.

Major Crimes Detective Samantha Reilly prefers to work alone - she's seen as a maverick, and she still struggles privately with the death of her partner. The only person who ever sees her softer side is Michael Turcotte, a teenager she's known since she rescued him 11 years ago from the aftermath of his parents' murder-suicide. In foster care since his parents' death, Michael is a loner who tries to fly under the bullies' radar, but a violent assault triggers a disturbing ability to view people's dark futures.

Great book to lose yourself in!
Revisado: 12-07-16
This was an enjoyable book. Written with smooth dialog and great descriptions, it is easy to lose yourself in the story. For me, the only drawback was there is some language, but not as excessive as King or Koontz. The narration was very good. I recommend this as a fun listen.

Historia
Presented as a series of letters between Adams and his former student, Zach, Letters to a Young Progressive reveals how the "education" of college kids across the country is producing a generation of unhappy, unimaginative, and unproductive adults. The perfect book to help parents prevent - or undo - the ubiquitous liberal brainwashing of their children before it is too late.
