Now I know to always look beforehand at who’s narrating. Even though I can’t stand her as a person, I thought she’d be talented enough to narrate this book. Not so.

Narration is superb

I love this series so much for its story telling and narration. Kevin Kenerly deserves an award for his excellent performances, the nuance and subtleties of his reading, that velvet voice. I’ve searched out other books narrated by him.. wonderful audible experience!!

I tried!

To say this book was a disappointing would be an understatement. I waited so anxiously for the release of this book having loved all his previous works. And I read other reviewers praise it to the hilt! So, thinking it was me, I forged ahead. To hear these characters drone on about the petty details of their lives, hour after hour, complaining and whining...well, the only thing I can compare it to is being subjected to reading hours of people's facebook ,the fabulous sunset, the great dinner and all their other personal, trivial, boring details of their lives. Reading is one of my great joys and life is too short to spend another minute on this. I have decided to put it aside for now, perhaps permanently.

Wonderful memories

I really enjoyed this warm and entertaining walk down memory lane as beloved Carol Burnett not only brought back some of her fondest recollections from her life, but made me recall a lot of my old memories in so doing. She and her cohorts in comedy were such a part of my life..I enjoyed this one very much.

What a Ride!

Having at least 3 dozen audio books under my belt, this one, next to
The Help, was my favorite. Surprising how moving, entertaining and absorbing this book was...I was sorry it ended and now am reluctant to download my next book for fear nothing is going to match up. I tried to figure out what exactly was so great about it and it is a combination of things. First off, I don't think "reading" it could compare to the sound of Keith's gravelly, deep voice telling his own story. It was like he was right there shootin the shit with me while I'm ironing my clothes! Seriously, who knew Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones valued his Boy Scout experience as a high point in his life.

I could go on and on..but suffice to say, this is a must for all audio book fans...

"best audible experience ever"

I have enjoyed many audible books and this one was by far the most heartwarming with the most "oscar worthy" performances.
