The content is not done justice by the reader.

I have no doubt that the content of this book is very good. There are pieces of it that have made it through the horrible reading. I cannot listen to any more of it. I’m getting another book with a better reader. I made a big mistake not listening to the sample.

I don’t like multiple narrators typically, but these made want to stop the book altogether. Why did you mess with the wonderful job Tim Gerard Reynolds did on the rest of them. I just don’t understand. So frustrating...

This classic deserves better

I'm confused/annoyed

I really liked the book. It started slow, but built up pretty quickly. The part that I was completely confused and annoyed about dealt with their choice to use different voice actors for the characters. What in the world was that about. I listened to the whole book wondering if there was something in the story that explain why this was happening, but it never made any sense to me. I'm going to continue with the series as the story has pulled me in, but that was definitely in spite of the voice production. As a side note, I thought all the voice actors did a good job, I just thought they all should have done the same character throughout.

Great book, horrible narration.

I loved the story. I wasn't sure if it would grab me like the rest of the series, but it did!
Stephen King's reading of his work was awful. He is so monotone, and rarely tried to give a different voice to his characters. When he did try to make a character sound distinct, it was comical. I don't think that was the desired result...
I truly enjoyed this book, but it desperately needs a new narrator.

The stories in this series are okay, but I've really enjoyed the narration of Emma Galvin. Aaron Stanford is a different story... I really don't care for his performance. I found myself annoyed when it switched away from Emma, wishing I could skip the chapter. Just my own preference, I'm sure he is a fine actor.

Not "normal" King, but fascinating!

The only thing I didn't like about this book was the ending, but I don't know how else it could have ended. It is such a complex story, but told so well. I almost didn't read this book because I was afraid it would be too history heavy when I was looking for a good story, but 11-22-63 did not disappoint!
