Historia
When Ernest Hemingway died in 1961 he had nearly completed A Moveable Feast, which eventually was published posthumously in 1964 and edited by his widow Mary Hemingway. This new special edition of Hemingway's classic memoir of his early years in Paris in the 1920's presents the original manuscript as the author intended it to be published at the time of his death.

Perfection
Revisado: 03-25-15
I have always been a fan of Hemingway but this by far surpassed my high expectations. I've cried only twice while listening to audible book, this was one of them. I'm very picky about narrators in general and especially when they are reading Hemingway but the narration could not have been better.

Historia
Anton Chekhov is widely considered one of the best short-story writers of all time. Having influenced such writers as Ernest Hemingway, Raymond Carver, and James Joyce, Chekhov’s stories are often noted for their stream-of-consciousness style and their vast number. Raymond Carver once said, “It is not only the immense number of stories he wrote - for few, if any, writers have ever done more - it is the awesome frequency with which he produced masterpieces, stories that shrive us as well as delight and move us, that lay bare our emotions in ways only true art can accomplish.”

Even better than the first collection
Revisado: 03-17-15
This collection of stories surpassed my expectations, listening to it fresh off the heels of the first collection (which I loved) I didn't think it could get better but I was wrong. The narrator again was superb and this is such a great peek into Anton Chekhov

First time reading Anton Chekhov....
Revisado: 03-06-15
This was my first experience with stories by Anton Chekhov and I'm happy to report I was not disappointed. His stories make you think, not in a laborious way but in a way that pulls one side of your mouth up in a sly way. I've already ordered volume 2! The narrator was superb. My favorite story was probably the looking glass.

Historia
Before he gained wide fame as a novelist, Ernest Hemingway established his literary reputation with his short stories. Set in the varied landscapes of Spain, Africa, and the American Midwest, this definitive audio collection traces the development and maturation of Hemingway's distinct and revolutionary storytelling style - from the plain bold language of this first story to his mastery of seamless prose that contained a spare, eloquent pathos, as well as a sense of expansive solitude.

Another fantastic set of classic Hemingway short stories. The stories themselves remove you from this world and engross you in them, in the best possible way. Outstanding performance again from the narrator!

Historia
Jacob Tomsky has worked in hotels for more than a decade, doing everything from valet parking to manning the front desk. He's checked you in, checked you out, separated your white panties from the white bed sheets, parked your car, tasted your room service, cleaned your toilet, denied you a late check out, given you a wake-up call, eaten M&Ms out of your mini-bar, laughed at your jokes, and taken your money. And in Heads in Beds, he pulls back the curtain on the hospitality business.

Would you listen to Heads in Beds again? Why?
It's both informative with inside hotel info but it also draws the reader in, there's an emotional connection made...it's great.
Have you listened to any of Jacob Tomsky’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Jacob Tomsky is a superb narrator
