I laughed, I cried. I think I experienced every emotion in between as well. Excellently written & performed.
I have been lucky enough to meet Wanda when she moved out of CA after her retirement. I'm a surgical/ veterinary tech where she brought her dog.
I can tell you that her stories about Lucy, little Lucie & Desi Jr. echo what this fine gentleman has written ❤️ Oh & Wanda developed a love for Toy Poodles over the years from being around Lucy's. I took a particular delight in the fact that she had a red poodle... YEP, a Toy Poodle with RED HAIR!!

Didn't want it to end!

I have always been a fan of Lucille & Desi's. I found myself enthralled in every word of this intimately shared story. I often would go back to listen again to parts due to the richness of details before moving on.
I found myself feeling sad, happy, laughing aloud & crying with tears streaming down my face.
The story's about her childhood, family, as well as the people Lucy met, who helped her along the way, & their friends as a couple were incredibly interesting.
Lucy's reading of the book was stellar. Her readings of her father's parts with his accent were impeccable! I could see him in my mind every time.
I could not recommend this book more!!

What an incredible story!

I found this interesting from the very beginning. Matt really opened up about his life & some really unimaginable highs & lows. He did this through incredible honesty, bravery & and hope that he could help others who had struggled as he had. He, of course, shared some of his magnificent humor, which was most welcome!
This is the best overall book I've experienced in quite a while. Highly recommend.

Slow to start but got much better.

At first, I was not sure I was going to like it, but it started to pick up so I was glad I stuck with it. The narrator was very good!
