Historia
Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the king of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken. His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica - the stronghold of the southern continent's mighty empire.

Can’t help but feel sad that this amazing journey is almost over.
Revisado: 03-30-25
I both loved and hated this book. Not so much the book itself, but Chaol. He has been a character I have loved to hate. Mainly his attitude where Aelin was concerned, and the rudeness he showed Nesryn.
This book took me almost a week to finish whereas I sailed through the first five books in this series in only eight and a half days. This book turned out to be amazing and Chaol’s arc was absolutely incredible.
SJM did a masterful job. I am so sad that this book is over, and I only have one book left to go. I am not ready to let go of this new world I have become so immersed in or say goodbye to the characters I have grown to love.

Historia
Stephanie Plum, Trenton’s hardest working, most underappreciated bounty hunter, is offered an assignment that seems simple enough. Local jeweler Martin Rabner wants her to locate his former security guard, Andy Manley (a.k.a. Nutsy), who he is convinced stole a fortune in diamonds from his safe. Stephanie is also looking for another troubled man, Duncan Dugan, a fugitive from justice arrested for robbing the same jewelry store on the same day.

Revisado: 11-28-24
This was a great book. I haven’t been a fan of the last few books Plum books for some reason, but this one had the same feel as the earlier books in the season. This book has it all and then some. I never want this series to end. I absolutely love the character and the laughs they provide. Loralie King as the narrator is brilliant as always. I highly recommend this, we get a couple major surprises in this book. This is 5 stars for sure! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I couldn’t stop listening. Lisa Regan did a phenomenal job with this book. Just when you thought you knew what was going to happen in the story, it would immediately change directions. By the end of the story I had nervously chewed off all my fingernails and gone through a half a box of tissues trying to dry my tears. I highly recommend this book. Kate Hanford's narration. has improved drastically since the earlier books in the series. One thing that irks me is that Josie has been married to Noah for several years now, and is still using Ray's last name.

Poor Casey and Dalton!
Revisado: 02-22-23
Construction isn’t even complete on the new Rockton, when Casey and Eric (who are now married) are called in by Emily and her granddaughter Yolanda to search for two missing crew members.
Yolanda is a top notch contractor who is in charge of building Haven’s Rock. Penny is the architect and Bruno is the engineer and both have gone missing inside the forest.
This book has lots of twists and turns and not only brings in fan favorite characters from Rockton, but also introduces us to new characters who will no doubt end up being a welcome addition to this ongoing series.
This story, like all books in the Rockton series is well written. Thérèse Plummer doesn’t a fantastic job as narrator and all her voices for each character are discernible from one another.
I highly recommend this book. This series is phenomenal and as always I can’t stop once I start. Unfortunately I now must wait another year for the next installment. If I had one complaint I wish there were 2 Rockton books released every year, because the year long wait between books kills me.

While his son, Edward, has been named his successor, there are other Saxon claimants to the throne - as well as ambitious pagan Vikings to the north. The narrator takes a lot away from Cornwell’s brilliant storytelling.
Revisado: 07-09-22
I had never heard of Bernard Cornwell or the Saxon Tales prior to stumbling upon The Last Kingdom on Netflix a couple of months ago. I was immediately hooked and binge watched the entire series in around 10 days time. It was during that time I learned it was based off a book series. As a decade old member of audible I downloaded the first book and listened to it within two days. Since that time I have impatiently waiting for my next credits to become available.
I have loved the series on audible as there is quite a difference from the show. My only complaint is the inconsistency in the narrator’s. Jonathan Keeble, who has narrated 3 books so far in this series is the only one who doesn’t seem to absolutely butcher the characters names. However Stephen Perring, the narrator of this book, The Death of Kings is the most cringeworthy to date. As a narrator it is their job to learn the proper pronunciation of the main character and places in the story they are narrating. I have just begun this book, and rather than wait to the end to review it as I always do, I had to stop to review this. I can confidently give the story itself five stars, however seeing as the narrator pronounces Uhtred’s name as You-Tred and Bebbanburg as Bambra. He also pronounces Finan as Feen-Ann. These mispronunciations are like nails on a chalkboard and I shudder to think of what’s to come as I progress further into the story. As of this review I am still in the first chapter so I have a long way to go and many more hours left for Stephen Perring to savagely butcher more names and places. I would like to know why this wasn’t caught by the editors. We’re they sleeping through the editorial process?
I recommend purchasing the Kindle edition, rather that the audible version in order to save your ears. I wish I had read the reviews and skipped this audible book in favor of reading it myself.

It’s November in Sinful, and everyone is gearing up for Thanksgiving. But when Fortune, Ida Belle, and Gertie bag a body on their turkey-hunting trip, the quiet enjoyment of fall is over. No one really knew Miles Broussard well, and as he’d recently sold the building his business was in to retire in another state, no one could explain how he’d ended up murdered and dumped in the bayou.

I have been in love with this series since the very beginning. These books are all LOL funny. If you’re new to this series than you really should begin with book #1-Louisiana Longshot and read them in order, however if you begin the narrator with introduce the key characters and relevant information. I love that Jana DeLeon does that because I have yet to see that in any other series I have read. I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series.

The author does nothing but promote the far left and liberals.
Revisado: 10-15-21
The premise of the book sounded good. A kid who grew up in the system becomes a hot shot attorney in Florida who fights for the under dog against big Pharma and oil companies. What’s not to like? I will tell you. Politics, Far Left Activists, Democrats, and so much political corruption I damn near choked. I am certain this fictitious story isn’t exactly a story but more of an attempt to promote radical liberals. Of course all the conservative candidates and their supporters in this story are all painted as corrupt and morally bankrupt. It’s truly ironic how the author portrays the left as the end all save all in our country. Especially considering this country’s state of affairs and how the left is currently attempting to rewrite our constitution to fit their own agenda. I made it through a couple hours and finally decided to take a hard pass on this book and author. Even free this book or author isn’t worth it.

WOW!!!!
Revisado: 09-08-21
I had this book in my wishlist since I finished the the second book in which Dylan and Lilly made their first appearance in the Jessica Yardley series. While I like the two w/ Jessica Yardley as the main character, I LOVED this book with Dylan and Lilly as the main characters.
I loved everything about this book. Arnell Powell did an outstanding job as the narrator. He was spot on with the voices and had Arno’s stutter spot on.
Victor Methos did an amazing job writing this story. The story began with a young women on a hospital gurney and we were listening in to her thoughts and ER staff speaking around her. We learn in these first few minutes that she was being chase by a killer and he caught up to her when she reached and cliff and and in a split second decision she could either jump into the rocky ravine below and possibly have a chance to survive or be killed by the killer.
We are introduced to to the district attorney being woken up when she gets a call from the police detective who calls her to come to the police station where she learns about a group of young people who were brutally murdered and dismembered and their bodies/parts arranged in sexually explicit poses, which the DA and Detectives realized were identical to another case from 6 years prior. The police have arrested a man who suffers from a severe mental illness and was covered in blood. Arno Ward the suspect confesses to the brutal murders saying the demon made him do it. He suffers from Schizophrenia with visual and auditory hallucinations.
Dylan and Lilly receive a phone from Jessica who asks him if he would take a look at case from her friend Madelyn who is a public defender and never tried a case of this magnitude where the prosecutor/DA is trying Arno and wants this to be a capital case and is looking for the death penalty. It takes awhile to convince Dylan to help because he initially doesn’t want together involved.
This story so well written and has moments that will leave you with your jaw hanging down and wondering what just happened. Very few authors can weave a story together so well that you are taken on an emotional roller coaster.
Victor Methos did just that. This book is absolutely amazing and is a good stand alone. You do not need to read the first two books in this series because they add nothing to this story. Dylan and Lilly are extremely likable characters and you really come out of this broader understanding of our legal system.
I highly recommend this book. Once you start listening you won’t want to stop. I started this yesterday and finished this story. I would have stayed up and finished had I not drained the 9 hour battery life of my beats earbuds. This book is really that good.
I want more Dylan and Lilly books. They are extremely lovable characters, as are the minor characters. Holly in particular is a victim that your heart weeps for and as the book progresses you realize she goes from victim to survivor who chooses to live as opposed to exist.

Running a small-town police force in the mountains of New Mexico should be a smooth, carefree kind of job. Sadly, full-time Sheriff - and even fuller-time coffee guzzler - Sunshine Vicram, didn't get that memo. All Sunshine really wants is one easygoing day. You know, the kind that starts with coffee and a donut (or three) and ends with takeout pizza and a glass of chardonnay (or seven). Turns out, that’s about as easy as switching to decaf. (What kind of people do that? And who hurt them?)

You’re killing me Darynda Jones!
Revisado: 08-06-21
Finally we get some answers! While I am grateful some storylines didn’t drag on through this book as well, I was literally left with my mouth hanging open after the last 3 words were spoken. Not because it was a shocker, because my suspicions had been confirmed a bit earlier before that, but because it ended. Not only do we not get to know what happens immediately after, but because we now have to wait another year for book 3 in the Sunshine Vicram series, and if book 3 follows book 2 it will be picking up months later and not where book 2 left off. Now that I have vented let’s talk about the book.
As you can tell by the 5 stars all the way across I love the overall book, storyline, and of course Lorelei King’s performance. She could read ingredients on shampoo bottles for 9 hours and I would listen.
Jones is one of the best in her field. She writes humor into even the most serious situations to lighten the atmosphere. She will have you laughing out loud. Beware while listening to this in public though because people will certainly give you funny looks. Take it from me, it’s best not to listen while grocery shopping alone on a Sunday afternoon, because I am quite certain other shoppers were contemplating calling the police for the crazy lady laughing hysterically in the meat department.
I was excited to see Poetry Rojas as the newest deputy in Del Sol. He’s an excellent addition and it’s nice not seeing him as a fugitive in hiding anymore.
This book had multiple storylines beginning with Randy the Racoon, Levi’s friend getting stabbed, Levi coming to his rescue, and getting hit by a truck. There are others also. This book was better than the first which is saying a lot seeing how good book one was. This book not only had me in hysterics, but also had me ugly crying once a revelation was made towards the end. I also about burst with happiness when the moment I had been waiting for FINALLY happened and it did NOT disappoint.
This book absolutely left me wanting more. I only pray I am not left waiting a year because I may die of suspense in the meantime.
I recommend this book to all, it truly has something for everyone, humor, suspense, romance. BUY IT NOW! It is worth the credit, you will not go wrong with this author/narrator duo.
