The difference in people's expectations.
Revisado: 09-18-24
I loved experiencing the way things were in the 30's. It was quite the eye opener. Interesting story too. Well worth the credit. I hated for it to end, even though I appreciated the ending

Lots of opinions. I couldn't imagine how it would end. Very well written

That's really happened I'm sure a lot more than publicized. Hopefully, never again. It was very thoughtfully written

Revisado: 05-17-24
I liked that it was gut wrenching and unpredictable. A situation totally unexpected, unsettling and different. But I was entertained until the very end.

Historia
Given the importance of what they do, and the controversies that often surround them, and the violent people they sometimes confront, it is remarkable that in the history of this country only four active federal judges have been murdered. Judge Raymond Fawcett has just become number five.... Nothing is as it seems and everything’s fair game in this wickedly clever new novel from John Grisham, the undisputed master of the legal thriller.

Historia
Emma Carpenter lives in isolation with her golden retriever Laika, house-sitting an old beachfront home on the rainy Washington coast. Her only human contact is her enigmatic old neighbor, Deek, and (via text) the house’s owner, Jules. One day, she reads a poorly written—but gruesome—horror novel by the author H. G. Kane, and posts a one-star review that drags her into an online argument with none other than the author himself. Soon after, disturbing incidents start to occur at night.

Historia
By the time playwright and actor Shawn Frost had won two Tony Awards by his late 20s, he was seen as a theater prodigy—a meteoric rise that the performing arts community had not witnessed in almost a hundred years. His work? Shakespearean in scope, character, and popularity—boundless and beautiful. His own character? Flawed. And in a place like New York City, where failings get magnified, Shawn Frost finds that, even from the heights of artistic sublimity, no one is insulated from the demons that have caused the best of entertainers to fall from grace.

It was way out there. Almost good, ok.
Painful for me to finish. Lots of sex scenes. Lots of crazy. Too much crazy. I fast forwarded more than I ever have . I did finish it, I wasn’t sure I would. She’s an
awesome writer but had I listened to this one first, I would never have read Verity, which was awesome.

Quite an interesting storyline, very forward thinking for sure. It did get a little bit cliche’ at times. Such a great start and then, extremely weird twists and turns. But, overall worth the credit. I was entertained.
