Eh, if you are old enough then you've heard this story before.
Group of friends, rich woman loses sister, reunites at her rich house after years of ghosting on the pretence of a reunion.
Getting drunk, people having sex with unintended "friends" amongst the group. Getting lust & obsession confused with love. eh. Predictable.

Mystery of a lawyer at the top of his career hits bottom

I was intrigued by everywhere this story took me. Unguessable plot. Excellent storyline. Anything but boring.
Any low stars is for profanity. I find it distracting, unessential to the plot.
That said, No 1 Lawyer is not the worst.
Just enough to make me avoid James Patterson in the future.

Unsatisfactory ending.

Gripping and disturbing storyline.
I do not recall any foul language. Maybe one sex scene, I cannot recall it. I probably skipped through it if there was one.
I am used to the satisfying 'good guys triumph; bad guys get there just rewards' in the end. This story leaves the listener with a terrible cliff hanger and abruptly ends.
left me gritting my teeth.
Makes me want to skip out on this author for future listens.
Though well written
I do enjoy when a chapter is introduced by the name of the character we have moved to. .

Cute little story

Enjoyed the plot. Author paints pictures well. easy to follow.
I don't enjoy or see the need for the sex chapters or all the f-bombs. I'm with Carlson on this one. 🧐
it just makes me think the author did not have enough good literary content to fill a book without the sex chapters.
Overall I enjoyed the storyline. More ghost story than witch story. I've always enjoyed ghost stories over witch stories. fits the bill.

story line is good. The climatic battle was too short but otherwise decent.
This story did make me realize that I've missed much of the foundational story.
I've read book one then jumped to this one.
I only read these if they are included in Audible.
Growing paranormal small town.
eh.
Caroline Schafer did a good job. her fellas are believable as well as her paranormal creatures. uh, I mean the voices are well acted.

The narrator...hmmm.. 🤔

The best voice of this narrator is when he reads as the antagonist.; a little reminiscent of Matthew McConaughey.
His worst presentations are that of females, and any telephone voices. . both voices are identical which is kind of a dragging sickening non energetic voice. I would have much preferred if he would have used a male falsetto for the females.
The telephone voices especially dragged on my nerves.
Either good or bad I fell to sleep on this story numerous times very well.
The story itself was engaging and kind of gross.
I'm glad I got through it. but as long as my memory is intact this is not a read again story

I could not stand the paranoid new mom.

I couldn't get past the first 5 chapters.
Were we anything like that as new mother's??!
