Historia
Hope Harbor Police Chief Lexie Graham has plenty on her plate raising her son alone and dealing with a sudden rash of petty theft and vandalism in her coastal Oregon hometown. As a result, she has zero time for extracurricular activities - including romance. Ex-con Adam Stone isn't looking for love either - but how ironic is it that the first woman to catch his eye is a police chief? Yet wishing for things that can never be is foolish.

Sweet and Cute
Revisado: 02-10-25
Easy listen, loved the romance piece intertwined with the drama. Although predictable, it was nice to listen to while I was working remote and driving in traffic.

It’s Ok..
Revisado: 07-08-24
Typical, predictable read. Enjoyed the narrators. A lot of details surrounding the sexual interactions between the main characters, wasn’t crazy about that, but overall it was ok.

I felt like I was apart of many of the scenes in this book. There were times where I was moved to tears with the way God was talking to me through Francine’s usage of scripture and descriptive details. Loved it!

Historia
In 1972, when workers in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, were digging the foundations for a new development, the last thing they expected to find was a skeleton at the bottom of a well. Who the skeleton was and how it got there were two of the long-held secrets kept by the residents of Chicken Hill, the dilapidated neighborhood where immigrant Jews and African Americans lived side by side and shared ambitions and sorrows. Chicken Hill was where Moshe and Chona Ludlow lived when Moshe integrated his theater and where Chona ran the Heaven & Earth Grocery Store.

Riveting and Gut Wrenching All At Once
Revisado: 01-25-24
Didn’t really know what to expect with this read. Selected the book on a whim. I throughly enjoyed it. The storytelling was great. There were moments that were hard to get through as I envisioned what was happening but couldn’t stop listening. The details and conversations between characters were great and the truthfulness of the conversation made the story relatable. Well done!
