A book about awkward people

I was initially intrigued by Cary and Shiloh, but after a while I was both bored by and annoyed by them. Mostly Shiloh, but the Cary for being interested in Shiloh. I had a hard time seeing how anyone could be that in love with her.
So, I stuck it out but honestly I probably won’t read another book by this author.

Honestly I found it quite dull

I had such high hopes for this book! But the narrator sounded elderly which didn’t work and made everyone seem more stodgy, and the pacing and plot were simply dull. I almost gave up at one point.

A unique and interesting story line that made me feel like I was traveling the worlds of Game of Thrones, Vikings and Lord of the Rings. Rich description and character development. I am thrilled to discover there is a book two because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Silla and Rey!

I’ve read a lot of books in this genre and at times they feel repetitive or lack character development. This book was refreshing and captivating! I listened to a narrated version and truly enjoyed the narrator’s voice. I highly recommend and look forward to book two!

Really enjoyable story

I really enjoyed the writers stile and the sassy wit of the main character. Some parts of the story were repetitive and dragged a bit. We get it, her ex is a jerk. But overall I very much enjoyed this book and will look for more by these authors! Also, narrator was fantastic!
