Historia
When African jihadis attack a Nigerian regiment using American weapons, Cabrillo and the Oregon crew are on the case, investigating from Afghanistan to Kuala Lumpur to track a mysterious arms dealer—a genius, or perhaps a devil—known only as the Vendor. Cabrillo goes undercover to find the Vendor’s base, but his adversary isn’t just an arms smuggler. He’s an arms maker, and Cabrillo just walked into a lethal military game alongside the most dangerous mercenaries in the world, designed to test the Vendor’s cutting-edge AI arsenal.

Excellent addition to the series
Revisado: 10-30-24
Thank you Mr. Maden for a great new Oregon Tale. This is my favorite series of Clive Cussler books, and I am happy to report that it didn’t feel different as might be expected with someone new continuing the series. The camaraderie among the main characters was good but I miss more of Eddie Sing, Lincoln, and the others.
The story is fast paced and exciting. Taking current events into consideration.
Looking forward to reading more of this series.
Scott Brick did an amazing job as usual!! His voice and pacing are perfect for these books.

Meg's neighbors, the Smetkamps', have won a makeover for their old home from Marvelous Mansions, a flashy, yet dubious company, focused on making historic homes more "modern." The company already several days into its makeover of the Smetkamps' house, and tensions are running high—not only between the officious, demanding Mrs. Smetkamp and her neighbors, but also between her and the renovation crew.

Very Entertaining
Revisado: 10-19-24
Excellent story, as I have come to expect from Ms Andrews. How does she put so much detail in EVERY story and not repeat plots?
All the regulars are here and Meg is back to being more active in her job as Assistant to Randall.
I love Bernadette Dunne as a narrator!! You ALWAYS know who is speaking. Example, Meg’s brother, Rob, doesn’t have as large a story in these last couple books, yet when he enters the story you know it’s him. I love this series.

Historia
Meg's grandfather has been booked to give lectures on a cruise as part of the education/entertainment itinerary, and he's arranged for a passel of family members to join him. The passengers’ vacation quickly becomes a nightmare when they wake up to find themselves broken down and in need of repairs. Things get even worse when a crew member announces to all that a woman has jumped overboard, leaving behind her shoes, shawl, and a note. The note reveals she's a disliked member of a writers' group onboard for a retreat, and the group is split on whether this is in-character for her.

The fun story on a Cruise Ship 🚢.
Revisado: 09-16-24
Donna Andrews always satisfies! Her character development over the series has been slow, like real life, so you really KNOW the recurring folks and enjoy the new ones for each story. This was especially interesting to me because I am going on a cruise next year!!
Ms. Finn’s narration is wonderful too. Through listening to the series I know who is speaking without the introduction of the character. You don’t have to read these in order, but I recommend it.
You are in for interesting storytelling!!

These stories just keep getting Better
Revisado: 08-18-24
First the narrator is excellent! You always know who is speaking.
Second the stories are great fun and serious. Ms. Andrews is able to weave complex story lines into easy to understand histories and narratives. How does she manage to bring the birds in the titles, emus in this case, into the heart of the story??

TV Show Material!!
Revisado: 08-07-24
The more I listen the more I realize that this series of books would be great TV movies. Most take place in a central location with a few trips to other small town locals. The University, the police department, the vet, the bridal shop etc. many characters come and go throughout the books. Who would play the leads???
Hope someone picks this up.

Historia
Meg Langslow and Michael's house is serving as the marshalling point for the annual Caerphilly holiday parade. The theme is the 12 Days of Christmas, and it features 12 drummers from the school's marching band, 11 bagpipers, 10 leaping lords costumed in medieval finery from the college's drama department, and so on. There are also assorted floats, a live nativity scene on a flatbed truck, the three wise men on Caerphilly Zoo camels, and Santa in a bright-red horse-drawn sleigh.

Historia
Meg Langslow's summer is not going swimmingly. In her small Virginia hometown, she's the maid of honor at the nuptials of three loved ones - each of whom has dumped the planning in her hands. One bride is set on including a Native American herbal purification ceremony while another wants live peacocks on the lawn. But when an offensive newcomer, who hints at skeletons in the guests' closets, is found dead under suspicious circumstances, level-headed Meg's to-do list extends from flower arrangements and bridal registries to catching a killer - before the next event is her own funeral.

I like this book
Revisado: 07-01-24
A very eclectic LARGE family, crazy wedding themes, reluctant someone’s, mistaken identity, and moulting flamingos. The dialogue is witty. The interesting circumstances surrounding these weddings seem improbable But actually are possible make this read a lot of fun.
The narrator has just the right amount of silent cynicism, you are in her corner!! I love her father BTW.
Looking forward to the next episode.

The story and narration is wonderful. The background sounds of life are okay but any music is too loud and makes the narrator hard to hear.
Anna Massey is amazing as the Queen’s mother is great!!

Not so easy to follow the story when everyone sounds the same. I understand that circumstances can change the narrator in these book series , and usually it turns out ok. This narrator is not for me.
