Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Historia
"Jesus in the Shadows" is asking one big question: When Luke tells us in Luke 24:27 that Jesus showed His disciples “the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures,” just how are we meant to take the word “all”? Was it intended to be figurative—just Jesus’ way of saying, “Hey, no worries, there are a few verses about Me in that book we all like so much, and when you figure them out, you can use them to write your own book and really get the word out”? Or did He mean something immeasurably more? What if some of the most well-known Bible stories (like David and Goliath, ...

Excellent communication style
Revisado: 04-01-24
I have read the book Jesus in the Shadows, but was thrilled to see it offered on Audible. Eric Robinson is not only an amazing Bible scholar but an author as well. He is able to communicate on a level we can easily understand but also provides a depth to scripture that can also be understood. Eric’s knowledge of Christ and the Word of God is both impressive and a blessing that he shares.

Excellent narration easy listen
Revisado: 10-14-22
Very educational but narration was extremely easy to listen to as well. Without a good narration I can’t make myself listen to a book regardless of how well written.

An Amazing Journey
Revisado: 09-16-20
I’ve been interested in learning about WWII for many years. I’m not sure where my interest came from other than being an American. I also had an uncle I never met that was in the Battan Death March. He made it home but died a year later of tuberculosis. This book has touched my heart in many ways. I commend the author/grandson for his journey, his resilience and endeavor to bring his Grandfather home. His grandfather would be proud.
Thank you for sharing your remarkable journey.

Amazing account of a young woman!

Wow. Upon starting this audible read, I was not aware it was based on a true story. I love historical fiction but better love historical biographies written like fiction.
If you love the American spirit of enterprise you will love this book.

Historia
In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women—mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends—view one another. A deeply moving novel filled with poignancy, humor, and hope, The Help is a timeless and universal story about the lines we abide by, and the ones we don't.
