Historia
Jeremy Simms watches from the porch of the general store as the weekly bus from Jackson comes through his town. His neighbor, Stacey Logan, and Stacey's brothers and sister are there to see their grandmother off on a trip. Jeremy's friend, Josias Williams, is taking the bus to his new job. But Josias and the Logans are black, and in Mississippi in the 1930s, black people can't ride the bus if that means there won't be enough room for white people to ride. When several white passengers arrive at the last minute, the driver sends Josias and Stacey's grandmother off the bus.

GREAT voice skills but NOT for Christians!!!!!!!!!
Revisado: 03-15-22
I love the interactivity and reading skills this woman has.
However, Cajun folktales talk WAAAAAAAAAAAY too much about voodoo and the devil, so NOT for Christians.

love this book
Revisado: 02-28-21
I’m completely blind, autistic and have a chronic heart condition and oh, did I mention that I love this book?
I’m a Christian adult, and love this book.
It tells the word of god, but gentle and fun, not so much of the excruciating bits.
The person reading the book, has a nice reading voice as well!

Historia
Rex M. Ellis weaves the strands of African folklore, early American history, and contemporary interpretations into the rich quilt that is the African-American experience. His stories spin a thread from the Windward Coast of West Africa to the shores of Jamestown and beyond. He uses storytelling as both a historical teaching tool and a method for dealing with controversial subjects.

FINALLY FOUND IT!!!!
Revisado: 03-06-20
I’m completely blind, autistic and have a chronic heart condition.
When I was at the school for the blind, as a kid, I read this book on a tape.
I remembered I liked it, so have been looking for it for quite a while.
Obviously as a kid, I didn’t understand as much as I do now as an adult.
Glad I found the book finally!!!!!!!!!!!

I had this audiobook on CD when I was little
Revisado: 11-08-19
I’m completely blind, autistic and have a chronic heart condition.
Because I’m blind, when I was little, I had audiobooks on CD.
Well as an adult, I wanted that book again and found it.
It was JUST as good as I remember it when I was little, I loved it.
I don’t want to add any spoilers.

You are presumably looking here for clues to the shocking conclusion of this terminal audiobook, or the ending of the end. The end of the end is the best place to begin the end, because if you listen to the end from the beginning of the beginning of the end to the end of the end of the end, you will arrive at the end of the end of your rope.

Glad to see Count Olaf, FINALLY die!!!!!!!
Revisado: 10-21-19
I love the performance of this book, I’m completely blind, so I pay attention to that kind of thing.
About the story itself, I’m really glad to finally see Count Olaf die after all that he put those children through, Count Olaf was such a schwanz, I never could stand him so good riddance.

Because I’m blind, I listen to books read aloud.
This performance was really good, so was the tone of voice.
Great book for the fall and for memories, had this book once as a kid.
I also like the song, it gets stuck in my head.
