the quality of the Author's writing of great characters. you get invested the moment they are introduced.
I've read another series of hers that overlaps past characters. I dove into so many Tortall stories. her world is vast and lush. leaves me always wanting more.

too dry and too fast for young children to process or engage. Even as an adult that loves this story, tuned out. I want my money back.
