Historia
The number one New York Times best-selling story about American Olympic triumph in Nazi Germany, the inspiration for the PBS documentary The Boys of '36, broadcast to coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 80th anniversary of the boys' gold medal race. Out of the depths of the Depression comes an irresistible story about beating the odds and finding hope in the most desperate of times - the improbable, intimate account of how nine working-class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit really meant.

We lost track of time listening to this audiobook
Revisado: 09-03-18
We listen to this audiobook while travelling for 12 hours. We actually got caught in traffic 30 minutes before arriving home and I was glad as we were able to finish listening to the book. We both really enjoyed story and the narrator did an excellent job. It is a long book but by the time you're finished you feel like you've been with the characters throughout their journey in life you will undoubtedly develop an emotional connection to their challenges and successes. it was definitely worth the time investment.

Really enjoyable book
Revisado: 03-20-18
We chose this audiobook because of the author. We love the option of previewing so we can hear the narrator. This was a very enjoyable book and the narrator is great. The main characters are well developed and so believable - we could visualize every detail. The story gets deeper and deeper the further into the book you get. My husband and I both wanted to know how the book was going to end so we finish the last hour and a half in our hotel room after our long drive. I love John Grisham for his depth of writing and ease of understanding if you don't understand the legal system completely. If you like the author and his type of books, this book will not disappoint you.

Historia
Jim Gash's comfortable life as a Los Angeles lawyer and law professor nearly ensured that he and Henry, a Ugandan boy languishing in prison for two murders he didn't commit, would never meet. Henry was losing hope and prayed for a sign from God. Halfway around the world, Jim listened to best-selling author of Love Does Bob Goff encourage lawyers to use their legal training to help imprisoned children in Africa. Jim felt an irresistible urge to respond to this call.
