I am not one for buying into hype but this book was bought because I did and I totally regret it. Everything seems so over the top to the point if it true then we are in trouble, but most likely it isn't.

Great Plotline with performaces to match

I hardly ever listen to fiction (this was a freebee), however I found myself getting lost in this story. The detail is incredible. Now I totally understand why Paterson is so highly regarded.

Just an incredible story about one of the most famous terrorist of all time. The background helps you understand how he slipped through the cracks for so long.

I am hesitant about giving any book written by Hitler 5 stars but the great work of explaining what the modern day meaning of certain phrases by Ford really helps you understand what Hitler really meant.

What would have made Gumption better?

If the author (who I respect very much) had a different opinion of some things.

Would you recommend Gumption to your friends? Why or why not?

Liberal friends......yes. Conservative friends........no.

Have you listened to any of Nick Offerman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Just as good as the first one. He does a hell of a job telling a story. His way with words and how he performs is awesome.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Gumption?

The ones where he speaks negatively about guns.

Any additional comments?

I can respect he has the right to make his opinions heard (that is what our country is based on) but I am disappointed that he takes a certain stance on some things. But I do appreciate the book for what it is......entertainment. Offerman spends a little too much time expressing his political opinion for my liking but I still respect the man for expressing his opinion (because again, it is his right to do so).

What made the experience of listening to Brotherhood of Warriors the most enjoyable?

With have spent time in the military and in Israel I could relate and understand what Cohen was talking about the whole time.

What other book might you compare Brotherhood of Warriors to and why?

Maybe call of the wild because it about a guy trying to find himself and that journey changes him forever.

Which character – as performed by David Drummond – was your favorite?

Any of the foreign characters because he did a wonderful job with the accents.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed learning about the evolution of technology and how some private companies help win the Cold War.

What about David Drummond’s performance did you like?

He emphasized the right words to give a feeling of what was going through some of the minds of the people he spoke for.

Doing more with a microphone than Bond with a gun.
