Character driven Epic portal fantasy. I love stories about people from Earth going to a fantasy world and having adventures. Add a little mystery of why it happened and bad guys hunting the hero, and you've got a great story. Slow burn - MC starts out weak and gets stronger, Classic heroes journey.

Great story, but the audio annoyed me. The volume kept changing throughout the entire thing. one minute the narrator is speaking quietly and I had to turn the volume up to hear what was being said, the next second it is booming and loud enough to be painful. despite the audio levels issue I am eager to start the next book.

Riveting - I couldn't stop reading
Great pacing - from cover to cover I never got bored
Excellent writing skills- so many of the Litrpg books read like they were written by high school kids, but not this one. The writing is mature and skilled,
Great plot, great action, great everything.
Last but not least - Unique concept! The author managed to take a post apocalyptic novel and give it a spin I had never even considered before.

Lord Simon wants him dead, but the laws of the kingdom are on Morgan’s side and even the guards won't kill him, just for being seen near his manor. Morgan’s time is running out, though. Lord Simon has deep pockets and his last visit to the manor may just have put him over the edge.

Liked the story, but writing needs work. Good voice acting, but the way he reads compounds the immaturity of the writing. The way he puts emphasis on words sounds like the way you read to an audience of small children.

After the way book 5 ended the author had a big task to bring the story back to something great. Just as it looked like I was hooked again it ended abruptly. He resolved the plot, but l felt that we needed a lot more about what happened afterwards. So many unanswered questions....
