From the best-selling author of The Devil Wears Prada and When Life Gives You Lululemons comes a highly entertaining, sharply observed novel about sisters, their perfect lives...and their perfect lies.

Not as exciting as her other books
Revisado: 05-18-22
This book was slow and predictable and a bit boring. If you liked Weisbergers other books you’d like this but I definitely think this book was not the authors best work and it was tough to stick out and finish.

Historia
In this fascinating narrative, therapist Catherine Gildiner presents five of what she calls her most heroic and memorable patients. Among them: A successful, first-generation Chinese immigrant musician suffering sexual dysfunction; a young woman whose father abandoned her at age nine with her younger siblings in an isolated cottage in the depth of winter; and a glamorous workaholic whose narcissistic, negligent mother greeted her each morning of her childhood with "Good morning, Monster". Each patient presents a mystery, one that will only be unpacked over years.

Didn’t want this book to end!
Revisado: 12-14-21
What a beautifully narrated story. Hearing about these unimaginable traumas from the lens of a therapist-patient relationship was extremely engaging and moving. If you like hearing about peoples life journeys of psychological healing or are interested psychology, this book is for you!
