The honesty, integrity, and sincerity of the author.

That the western powers including Great Britain and the United States have thrown in lock, stock, and barrel to help Israel screw the Palestinians out of any fairness they are due. And the Palestinians have very little recourse and very few people who understand and would like to see them treated honestly and with integrity and not as sacrificial lambs.

I think it is the fairest and most equitable account available by the best and most knowledgeable Scholar on the subject. It was transitional in paving the way for the modern world. The best treatment of the subject available by anyone.

Less than perfection

As a longtime Bart Ehrman fan who loves his body of work - which is usually honest to the bone - I have to pick a bone with this one. First a compliment - the reader was much easier to listen to than Bart - with more pleasing and less preachey voice. However brother Ehrman comes across as a humbled employee - who after speaking honestly but painfully in previous books - has been chastened by evangelical Christians - and now has produced an apologetic - to orthodox Christianity - to save his teaching job at the University. Substandard for beloved Bart.

A detailed explanation of how the rightwing of the Republican party manipulated and coopted fundamentalist and evangelical Christians to the advantage of party political goals at the price of destroying Constitutional Separation of Church and State. Contains names dates and the colluding and plotting that ultimately destroyed the reputation of the Republican party and the deluded Christians who bought into the Hoax. The best one book education out of political and religious ignorance you can buy.
